Yea, but there is one problem I began to notice: he's picking from a rather small pool of games/genres. Hell, there are other games that tell us our fears, like how FF7 tells us how Japan is scared of global warming, or something :P.

No such thing. For that, we'd need a Space Hitler.

Best we've gotten so far is Mecha Hitler.

Well obviously.

It's the same reason why people watch "2girls1cup", not that they fear that but we certainly find it gross as hell.

The same reason people love to watch Ghost Hunters. Ghost scare them.

It's a pretty well written article though... almost too well written. Hmmm.

This is in horror based genre...

I read it on gamespot, and as know i thought that you and your friend has a point.

As much so, as to play something we need to feel engaged in the action.

Nice to see you here oracle :)

But Mecha Hitler can survive in space. It's only a matter of time until he gets jet feet that let him travel from planet to planet.

I wasn't really taking a knock at you, I legitimately found it funny.

I do think it's a well thought out post though, it raises some good questions.

yes I did post it on gamespot, but since that place is no longer of any use community-wise I decided to move. I don't wanna be a part of that place anymore.

It's easy to write well when you do it for a living. Gotta be good in the first place to get published.

We fear squares falling, four at a time, forming horizontal lines which subsequently disappear.
