Is graffiti art?

...yes. Yes it is.

#3 Posted by GnaTSoL (870 posts) -

How'd you notice this or did you know before hand?

#4 Posted by HubrisRanger (515 posts) -

Funny, I was just today thinking about how I wish someone (not me, not nearly talented enough) would do something similar in my town, but also figured the cross of interests would be difficult to find of graffiti artist who was also a duder.

So glad I was wrong.

That's pretty awesome, I wonder how long it will stay up there. There has been graffiti on an overpass near me for months now that simply reads, "SLUTS GAG".

#27 Posted by ConfusedOwl (1145 posts) -

That's pretty great. Whoever did that is a cool duder.

#28 Posted by Dalai (7842 posts) -

And that wins the award for the best random tribute to Ryan Davis. Let's hope the owner of that building is cool with that.

Savannah Georgia...isn't that where Clem's parents were in the Walking Dead game?

Beat me to it. However, remember:

It's cool people want to remember him, but you don't have to vandalise stuff to do it.

I don't think he would want it any other way.

Awesome, but why do we never see shit like this for people until they die? We need to celebrate people more while they are alive.

Graffiti done to deface is obvious, and while it doesn't make it ok when its done right and in a sensible location it looks fantastic, its above streetview its well done I appreciate it being there.

Because you don't fully appreciate the significance of someone or something until it's ripped out of your life. It's human nature.

True. Such a shame though. So I would like to say that I think Jeff, Brad, Vinnie, and Patrick are all awesome and as much of an influence on my life as Ryan was. I love you guys as well. <>

I know I'm the newest of new here but when I saw that graffiti, I couldn't help but think of the OBEY image. I put out a simple request of making something like that with Ryan's face and, the internet being what it is, it happened! Let's get this thing shared around, printed up and tagged on the streets. All credit goes to Dave O, @dvmoc.

Love this! Hope it stays there awhile. Graffiti in my city stays so long that the local indie paper had a "favorite graffiti" category in the "best of" awards this year.
