What are benefits of paid members? - General Discussion

I don't really care if there is none because i like to support this site because its AWSOME!

@zegolf: Don't quote me on this, and I think I might be wrong, but think they are still figuring out something special to the Giant Bombcast. A video Bombcast will be with the 50 bucks a year alone.

@Stealthmaster86: Yeah, it sounds like they're going to be constantly adding more and more content to, not only GB, but also to the rest of the Whiskey Media sites. Every day gets tougher and tougher to keep from "donating."

As a UK resident, much of the stuff is hard to reason with, since my connection sucks, i don't need high-quality video, and my timezone is all effed up with regards to everything in which they involve users . However, once something tangible happens, I will be signing up.

We're supposed to get private game servers but I'm not sure whats up with those at the moment.

Same - still, I appreciate the HD vids and downloads as my connection is OK and the prospect of a video Bombcast is just too good to pass up on, surely?

Same here, man. Like exactly the same. The Happy Hour's archived, and the mobile site is unexpectedly awesome and useful - read the Fable 3 review while eating my breakfast in the pub this morning.

Also, got my t shirt this morning. It's nice.

@zegolf: I don't know about you because i live in canada and i think the ads are difrent in the states but i rarely see any ads and i think the level of advertising that is going on now is fine its still head and shoulders above the rest of the internet

@PaulM: Oh, yeah, I totally have no problem with any ads that have ever been run on this site. It's not like IGN or Destructoid where the website IS the advertisement.

Pretty much nothing.
A mobile site? Whopdeedoo. They have a iphone/ipodtouch app for that (but I noticed they've disabled the ability to watch videos on it, thanks for telling us nothing was changing with the subscriptions). HD video? Other sites offer that for free. Happy Hour? You want to pay 50$ a year for that?
