What are points?

I have seen people with 'points' but I have 0! how do you get them and what do they do?

Looks right to me. Your account must have just updated.

Oh. I thought you were talking about linked achievement points. /facepalm
 
Those are wiki points you get from editing the wiki or moderating images. See the following thread: How moderation and the point system work

They are wiki points. You get them by editing the wiki database.

Edit wikis on the site and you will get points. After 1000 points, you can bypass moderation so your changes appear immediately.
