What are some great arcadey sports games?

So Brawlhalla just added an amazing 2v2 football esque mode that is so much fun to play. So I just started wondering if there are any other great games/minigames similar to this? I already know and love NBA Jam, NFL Blitz, Windjammers, and the basketball game in Battleblock Theater.

NHL Hitz was pretty great, and Mutant League Hockey.

And I think Rayman Legends had some weird soccer mini game that people were into.

I know everyone else hates it, but I actually enjoy NES Baseball. Mutant League Football on Genesis is also pretty fun. So is Blitz The League, though nowhere near as good as NFL Blitz.

Mario Strikers or the sequel on the Wii, and any of the Fight Night games, are both great choices.

Ice Hockey for the NES and Tecmo Super Bowl were always a favorites of mine.

Baseball Stars 2, Neo Turf Masters, Neo Geo World Cup 98.

Nhl hitz is pretty great (any in the series)

If you have a PS3 then look into Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Cars. (Soccer with cars)

And if you have a decent PC or PS4 the sequel is coming out soon. "Rocket League"

Virtua Tennis 4 is still a lot of fun. The career mode is quite awesome.

Speedrunners might also be up your alley although it isn't a sports game.

Ken Griffey Jr. presents Major League Baseball is really fun. This is the first Ken Griffey Jr game. The second one called Winning Run I have not played. NBA Jam or NBA Jam Tournament Edition are really fun. NFL Blitz also

the NBA Street series is fun. I personally have NBA Street Volume 2, and I like it

What @billmcneal said about Ken Griffey Jr. Presents MLB is correct. They recently played that game on The Old Games Show and it looked like they were having a lot of fun, and had nothing but good things to say about it. I also played the N64 sequel recently and thought it was pretty cool, but not as good as the SNES version.

NBA Jam (Genesis version), Tecmo Bowl, and NFL Street 2 and NBA Street 2 are all fantastic. Still regularly go back to all of them.

Super High Impact on the SNES is good too.

Arena: Cyber Evolution is free-to-play and on early access on Steam, I'm pretty sure that's what you're looking for.

I like a lot of the recognized greats you'll see people say. NBA Street Vol. 2 may be my favorite all time.

Two underrated additions.

Mutant League Hockey: In my opinion far better than the football game. My brother and I would play this and just try to kill the whole other team vs really playing all that hockey business, which you could do and earn them a DQ.

NFL Street: Played 1 and 2 a ton. Super fun game of football. When you'd put together a nice run, with hurdles and spins and wall runs, football videogames never were more satisfying.

@artisanbreads: Same, football was ok but hockey is the Mutant League game with all my best memories.

This topic makes me want to play Tecmo games.

Where is that mode? I only see the default smash brothers game mode when starting it up.
