I've run into one of those points in time where I don't have any new/semi-recent games that I'm really interested in that I haven't already played. This isn't anything new of course, it happens every once in a while, and I deal with it the same way every time: get out one of my go-to games and start playing.
My go-to games are usually Morrowind, Jet Set Radio Future, and usually some sports game or racing game like Madden, NHL, or Forza 2. Generally Morrowind is the first game to be played, and even though I've probably played it more than any other game I've ever owned, I still love it to death. This is important, of course, since the go-to games need to be infinitely replayable.
So what are your go-to games? Does the list change with time, or are you like me and have games that have set up shop on the list for good? On a related note, what game have you played the most in your long/short gaming career?
What Are Your Go-To Games?
I don't have any. Since I'm old school, I don't give two craps about new games. Unless it's something based on old school titles, like the new Fire Emblem or Dragon Quest V.
Usually a BioWare game. Last time it was Jade Empire. Now I'm playing KOTOR and Baldur's Gate simultaneously.
Burnout Paradise.
Get around 10 races closer to ELITE or screw around with Multiplayer.
Also i come back to Kongregate...The community likes me there i dunno why.

I collect retro games, i have a ton of them, but there's no way in hell i would disregard games, new games, just because they're new... : / The very suggestion that new games are all crap unless they are based on old franchises seems completely bizarre to me. I
Street Fighter 3, Vampire Chronicles. I like playing Super Mario Bros a lot, sometimes just to play 1-1. When I drop down the flag i'm done. L4D, CoD4.
I usually play competitive games between new games. I usually play Halo 3, Call Of Duty 4, or Street Fighter 2.
Metal Gear Online and LBP. Both games are great, always updated with new content, and never get old.
Morrowind, Rome: Total War (EB), Mount&Blade, Tropico (being replaced by Tropico 3), and anything made by Maxis.
WET, prototype, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Assassins Creed 2 and 1, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, Braid, Max Payne 1 and 2, and hopefully soon The Saboteur.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 on the Dreamcast and Metal Gear Solid.
I've beaten both of those games so many times that it's hard to count.
don't really have any go-to titles, if i don't have any new games to play i usually either go to games where i know i can still relatively easily acquire achievements that i didn';t get the first time and planned on for later or MP games for fresh competition.
hell sometimes i even don't play video games and do other stuff, shits crazy i know...
