If you were given the opportunity to pick one and only one franchise to continue to the next generation of consoles which franchise would you pick?

I would probably want to see Viva Pinata simply because I think there is a ton of unexplored potential from that series, and the next generation of consoles I'm sure could make that game more technically impressive.

It would be the only Franchise brought over from this generation. Next Gen franchises could theoretically have sequels.

Got ya. That is a lot of responsibility. I would be curious what would happen to the industry if no one were allowed to relay on their pre-established series. I think I would go with either FInal Fantasy or Persona. Probably the latter.

Most open-world franchises. Probably The Elder Scrolls, if I had to pick one.

#11 Posted by Rave (370 posts) -

Elderscrolls for sure, I love the series. Or another Rainbow Six game I loved Vegas and put tons of time into that multiplayer coop and versus

Alan Wake.

I would say The Witcher, but I'd prefer to see them try their hand at something different, especially sci-fi. I know they're doing it already, just saying.

Jak and Daxter.

Jak has yet the face the battle that will made him famous across all of time as the warrior named "Mar" and create the city in which they all live.

Exactly what I was going to say. There are still untold stories that were hinted at in the Jak universe, stories that can be made into something special.

Same goes for Ratchet and Clank. Ratchet's "family problem" still hasn't been solved, but I don't know if Insomniac will ever develop another R&C game.

Kingdom Hearts as well (3).

Assassin's Creed. It's my favorite from this generation and there are so many interesting eras you could take it to.

Yep. Jak and Daxter. This thread is won, might as well pack up and go home.

This a thousand times. I don't just want another Fallout game, and I know a lot of people are just going to post games they want to see more of, but I actually think the next gen Bethesda RPGs are going to be incredibly impressive. If they manage to get Fallout 4 to come out around the launch of the new systems, they will get another huge boost of popularity, and the next gen games in that niche will hopefully be awesome. I think open world games have the most space to grow and I'd love to see what they can do with that formula on a much bigger scale with more powerful hardware. Imagine Fallout looking as good as the Star Wars 1313 demo we saw.

Ratchet and Clank...though I would also love to see the Jak series to continue too. We need more 3rd person platformers.

I'm generally a person that's not really excited for next gen hardware; I'm fully content with the hardware that's out now. But I have to say a new Red Dead on a console with beefed up specs is kind of a dream project for me.

COLONY WARS, Jet Moto, and Syphon Filter to name a few. Major emphasis on Colony Wars though. Not enough console space flight sims!
