Definitely (A) for me ..
i still cant believe how the guys who showed it during E3 were actually living a total lie of "THIS IS DIFFERENT AND BIG AND AWESOME" i mean how can they lie like that? to us AND to themselves..
it couldnt be any fucking clearer how much of a MW2 rip off this is. how can you have the nerve to stand on that stage and show me MW2 / Bad Company 2 footage, but with a MEDAL OF HONOR tag on it, and look me in the eye and tell me its great ?
seriously during the EA conference i had to take a moment and try to just... absorb.. that that just happened. i was seeing the players on stage play BC2 but with new maps, but the game had a different name, and thats pretty much the only different thing it had.
P.S. its not called "MOH 2010" i just didnt wanna confuse it with the franchise itself
What do you think about Medal of Honor 2010 ?
Are they actually calling it "Medal of Honor 2010"?
In any case, I don't play multiplayer, so I'm just looking forward to the single player. If they can make a solid, fun campaign then I'll be happy.
When they first showed it during the press conferences it looked a lot like Modern Warfare 2 but it didn't look like a bad game and I was eager to see more, unfortunately after seeing one of their demos they gave Gamespot, I had seen and heard nothing that seemed to suggest the game wasn't sticking extremely strictly to the whole MW2 formula, I hope I'm wrong about this one but right now it's looking like a very generic title, at one point the Gamespot interviewer mistakenly referred to the game as 'Modern Warfare'.
" Are they actually calling it "Medal of Honor 2010"? "no i just didnt wanna confuse it with the franchise itself
" @ZanzibarBreeze said:It would probably be a good name for it though. :)" Are they actually calling it "Medal of Honor 2010"? "no i just didnt wanna confuse it with the franchise itself "
Always enjoyed Medal of Honor more than Call of Duty especially Allied Assault
The Multiplayer for this one is kind of meh.
Still not seeing how it gets called a Rip Off when Modern Warfare 1 and 2 don't so that's kinda shallow minded.
I'm looking forward to the Singleplayer at least. Just to see what they come up with.
One thing I do like about the new MOH though is that it's not fucking scared of going "Listen, you're fucking up people form Afghanistan, no wait. Taliban. Yeah we said it. It was 9 years ago, get over it"
" Are they actually calling it "Medal of Honor 2010"? In any case, I don't play multiplayer, so I'm just looking forward to the single player. It seems like it's between BC2 and MW2 in terms of speed, which is exactly what I want. I'm very interested in the singleplayer due to it actually being based on the current war instead of no-named middle eastern conflict.
Does the plot take place during the initial 2002 invasion when we were overthrowing the Taliban government? Or is it more current?
It's obviously aiming for the audience of MW2, but calling it a ripoff is dumb, borrowing ideas isn't plagiarism.
MW2 wasn't for me and this won't be either, prefer the more teambased Battlefield style MP. However the singleplayer does seem interesting as they aren't dancing around the setting, will be interesting to see how a game handles Afghanistan.
To me, it just looks like Modern Warfare or Bad Company, but without the over the top action, on destruct-ability of Bad Company. And that is why I'll always like games that aren't based on real conflicts better than those that are. (Well, Call of Duty 2 was pretty good, but WWII was a lot more "over the top" and had much bigger battles than the current Afghanistan mess, er, war, er, whatever they're calling it now).
