What Established IP Will Capcom Reveal A New Game For At E3?

I am going with Strider.

I would say maybe another DMC

With the releasesof Street Fighter II HD Remix and Street Fighter IV, as well as soon to be released Marvel vs Capcom 2, it would appear fighters are making a come back. Darkstalkers is the next line for updating (or at least I hope it is)!

I'll go with Strider as well.

Is it confirmed that it's going to be a sequel and not DMC5?
If that's the case, Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Isn't that kind of....expected because of MVC2 on the XBLA/PSN?

I am saying Strider simply because they can use technology they developed in the making of Bionic Commando. In this current climate it would be wise to do so. Demon's Crest could also use similar tech very well I think.

A new Powerstone, Rival Schools or Okami game would be sweeeeet

I'm really hoping for a new, good Mega Man game. This Star Force and ZX crap just doesn't cut it - give us another Mega Man X, Mega Man Zero, or maybe even Battle Network. Mega Man 10 would be pretty sweet as well.

I am dismayed by that ZX shit also...10 is certainly on the way after the success of 9.

I'd rather see a SF4-like Darkstalkers (don't think it'd be a problem to replicate if they gave it same focus they gave SF4), new Demon Crest (make it more like the Gameboy original Gargoyle's Quest please!), or if they found a way to make Mega Man new and original... but I bet it'll be none of those.

I'd say Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Strider are more likely.

The release of nine could have been a precursor to a entirely new current gen styled game.

Forgive me but what does IP actually stand for? Is it something like Individual product?

But I'd like a new onimusha.

I predicted a few weeks ago that Power Stone 3 would be announced, but with Tatsunoko vs. Capcom coming out in America, it would be dumb to oversaturate the fighting/brawler market.  Viewtiful Joe hasn't gotten the next-gen treatment yet so I'll go with that.

There's no danger of saturating the market with Tatsunoko... And besides, if they just announce a new Power Stone now, it's gonna be a while before it arrives in Japan, then a longer wait for the West... But yeah, you were probably wrong about it anyway.

I don't think it's Viewitufl Joe because if they had faith in that franchise, why would they close Clover? And why would they change mind about it now? The same for Okami. I'll go with Dino Crisis. If it's DarkStalkers, I hope it's 2D.

I'm hoping a new Final Fight, but I'd also be happy with a new Darkstalkers or Rival Schools.

As this is the 15th anniversary for the Darkstalkers franchise, and the fact that Capcom has shown a renewed insterest in the series, you'd think there would be some kind of annoncement. Though they may way until another event.

Ok, maybe renewed interest is kinda strong; how about hasn't forgotten about it :) Releaseing the Darkstalkers manga as well as the Darkstalkers Graphic File art book, and a fan-based artbook will be coming out as well (which had more submissions than the Street Fighter fan art book). Many of the other properties listed, while great, don't seem to garner as much attention from Capcom in any form.

HD versions of other games would be the opposite of Mega Man 9 :P

I'm really surprised more people haven't said Onimusha as it's been rumored for a long time now and we haven't seen an Onimusha game this generation yet.

Think I'd have to go with Strider then; Viewtiful Joe is still too recent if Capcom has been digging around their archives.

Yummy. Nice to see all the Joe love. It's a throw up between Strider, Onimusha and VJ.

I'm not normally one to participate in crazy speculation, but I honestly hope Onimusha gets another sequel, it might not be as deserving as some of the other Capcom franchises (Power Stone some people would argue) but it's close to my heart.

I think its about time for a resurgence of Onimusha, but it's not realistic.

plus half the games you have up there are fighting games not action games

I dunno, retro is big bucks these days (Remakes and re-releases galore, and companies are afraid of new IPs after EA's two big ones didnt do that well financially) and Onimusha is something a large portion of the market still remembers.

Honestly though, I don't think there is one overarching franchise that is more business viable than another option they have, so it could be anything although i'd say those hoping for Power Stone, Viewtifull Joe, Gunsmoke, Strider or Okami are gonna be shit outta luck. As for those wanting Alpha 4 or Darkstalkers (as much as I cannot overstate my WANT for both of those), capcom knows the difference between an action game, and a fighting game, they pretty much invented it afterall.

Most likely are going to be Onimusha or Final Fight (from that list anyhow) and Final Fight has a terribly recieved sequel a few years back on the PS2 (Streetwise I believe it was called)

So you think they are lying and it is DMC5 they are going to show ?

The guy who created DMC will be at E3 showing a game very much in the same mold as DMC. I doubt Capcom would wish to put DMC5 in a show with that game on the show floor also.

All the games in the list are established Capcom IP's, there was no preference on my part. and it was also posted before the Twitter confirmation from Capcom.
