What game do you think is the worst use of Product Placement?
" Yaris. I can't even play that game since I play with inverted aim. "That and Doritos Dash of Destruction.
I remember having a conversation about Tony Hawks Underground 2 with a friend of mine where we realised that not one of the things advertised in that game could we buy in this country, and since then it's really annoyed me. If you think excessive advertising in games is bad, just try looking at ad after ad for products you can't buy, TV shows you can't watch, and Presidential candidates you can't vote for.
EA do enjoy putting a lot of ads in their games. "I agree. When they bought Burnout 3 (pretty much finished) off of Acclaim, they basically used it as a moving advert for Tiger Woods, Madden, Battlefield Modern Combat, And Need for Speed. They even used precious disc space, to include a shitty looking demo of NFS Underground 2 which, if you are gonna put it on any game, maybe try and avoid putting it on one of the best looking racing games the PS2.
The product placement in Metal Gear Solid 4 did seem really weird. Plus it doesn't really work within the fiction. I hardly believe that anyone is going to be using a 30 gig iPod video in 2014.
Guitar Hero 3+
Thanks Activision. Dodge Garage venue and 5 gum and axe body spray placing EVERYWHERE.
And Tony Hawk RIDE (CAPS!)
From the quicklook I could tell that a menu/pause screen that looks like a sidekick would be annoying as hell, also, stride gum on all the loading screens.
The other recent Tony Hawks too.

EA is nowhere near as bad as Activision, in my opinion. At least in sports games it makes some amount of sense, esp. around the boards. The brought-to-you-bys, not so much. LOOKING AT YOU TOO, 2K. And I think there is less advertising on the PS3 or in Canada. I don`t see ads in Bad Company 1, and I didn't see too many in Burnout Paradise. Y'know, except for crashing into the Gillette vans.

" it kinda got to be a bit much in MGS4 "I really don't think it was too bad... weird japanese energy drink wasn't that bad, but you're right about the Macs and iPod.

" @jim_dandy: They really did that? I didn't notice anything but nuka cola. "He's talking about Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel, not Fallout 3. It's hard to believe, but this is the real deal.
No Mention of Airwaves all over the Cutscenes of Splinter Cell Chaos Theory?
i don't mind/notice in-game advertisement too much, but when you literally show Sam Fisher grabbing some Airwaves gum and chewing it...i think you're not giving your audience enough credit.
This. They had a option to have "the King" as your ringside trainer, for goodness sake. Plus the logos were everywhere on screen." fight night round 3 "

Chaos Theory really too the cake. There was one cutscene where a CYBER terrorist shuts down all the power in New York, with the only thing left illuminated being a huge-ass blimp with an Airwaves advert on it."
