I’m basically asking, what game out of these did you enjoy most, and from that, I’ll just go on that. This isn’t to say it’ll be the game I get, but I’d like to see what you thought of them. So choose the game you enjoyed most, and don’t wonder, or assume anything on my part, since I know some will say “Well if you’re don’t like this, or loved that...” and etc, but that’s not what matters to me. Also, don’t say “Well how are we supposed to choose if we don’t know your opinion?” Like I said, that doesn’t matter. Or you could just do the poll and not post anything. Anyways, I think that's all the games I want and don't yet have. Alright, thanks.

  1. Lords of Shadow
  2. inFamous 2
  3. Uncharted 3
  4. Resistance 3
  5. Max Payne 3

That is how I would value the games I have played on that list. Unless you really value story a whole ton. In which case you should just get Max Payne. It has a fantastic story.

Edit: How did I miss MGS collection? If you haven't played those games then get that. If you have then I stand by my list.

Isnt Infamous 2 free for Play station plus right now?

inFamous 2 is effing fantastic.

I'd go with mgs hd collection. I had a blast playing through those games again. Had no time for peace walker though. Thought it wasn't very good.

#7 Posted by TentPole (1858 posts) -

@The_Laughing_Man: Yes

#8 Posted by TheSlothKing (329 posts) -

Get MP3. That game is brilliant.

#9 Posted by NTM (7264 posts) -

@The_Laughing_Man: I don't have Playstation plus, and don't really want it. If I did have it though, that'd be a good point.

That is a mistake my friend.

InFamous 2 is free on PS+ right now, although personally I'm not a fan of the series.

With Best Buy Gamers Club membership ($15 for a year), both Max Payne 3 & Resistance 3 are $20 off right now. So $40 for MP3 and $10 for Resistance 3.

I just finished playing Uncharted 3, it was good, but I didn't enjoy it as much as Uncharted 1 & 2. It felt like a step backwards from U2.

#12 Posted by Video_Game_King (35985 posts) -

Lords of Shadow, because I've played it.

#13 Posted by cyraxible (682 posts) -

Dark Souls.

I guess if it has to be one of the options in the poll, I'd go with Max Payne 3.

#14 Posted by NTM (7264 posts) -

@TentPole: I don't have money for it, but if I did, I may pay for it. As for right now though, I don't see it as anything real special. I also just hate having to pay for one thing, like Xbox Live, and then this. I think the money thing is the problem, so I understand that it may be a mistake, but it's not something I'm concerned with right now.

@laserbolts: Hm, it's not even good with the improved controls huh? I tried playing the PSP version, and it's not that I can't handle the PSP controls, I just don't like them.

#15 Posted by laserbolts (5311 posts) -

@NTM: I mean it isn't unplayable or anything by any means just wasn't my cup of tea. You might love it though and to be honest I think playing through mgs 2 and snake eater is worth the price of admission.

#16 Posted by NTM (7264 posts) -

@cyraxible: I have Dark Souls, otherwise I may have mentioned it.

@mitsuko_souma: I don't really think it'll apply to me, 'cause I'm sure there are people out there too (though few it seems) that liked the first, but was disappointed in the sequel, and once they played three, loved it again. Anyways, I didn't really care for Uncharted 2, it just kind of bored me as I wouldn't have hoped, and I loved the original (though not on the first play through as I remember), but I think what sticks with me is the characters, not just the game play. I haven't spoiled how the journey ends for myself, and I'd like to experience it.

#17 Edited by mitsuko_souma (135 posts) -

@NTM: Yea I love the uncharted characters and story as well. That's half of the reason why the games are so good :)

I thought Uncharted 2 was the most polished and fun game of the 3 and had the coolest story. The first one was a little rough around the edges especially during the platforming where you would keep falling to your death because it didn't work right. In Uncharted 3, there was quite a few frustrating spots, but with gun battles. I got a lot of cheap deaths. Especially on Hard. I never attempted it on Crushing. Also the ending felt a bit rushed.

the two gems there are UC3 and MGSHD, IMO. LOL

MGSHD will give you more bang for your buck by a longshot. but Uncharted is a stunning cinematic experience.

@NTM: I don't think those people exist.

I voted MGS HD. I haven't played it, but it's MGS 2 and 3. Those games are fucking awesome. The only other game I played on the list was Uncharted 3 and I was really underwhelmed.

Lords of Shadow.

#21 Posted by Subject2Change (2966 posts) -

PS+ is great now, you'd get a 5 full games for free this month alone. 18 bucks and you can cancel it. Got 3 months to play through 5 games or just inFAMOUS 2 if you want. Seem cheaper than you'd get it used, no?

#22 Posted by Guided_By_Tigers (8061 posts) -

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection definitely.

@pyromagnestir: Not really in the same sense as me. I just kind of meant that I think there is at least one other person who was disappointed in Uncharted 2, but that same person also liked it. I think that was Greg Miller at IGN.

#25 Posted by Nightriff (4912 posts) -

HD Collection is the best game on your list, go pick it up

#26 Posted by Dad_Is_A_Zombie (1225 posts) -

Max Payne 3.

#27 Posted by pyromagnestir (4240 posts) -

@NTM: Holy crap Greg Miller gave Uncharted 3 a 10?... Hmmm... I stand corrected? I was originally going to say that you might well like 3 more than 2, but that would probably be due to your own expectations having been re-calibrated post 2, and likely not because 3 is a better game, or more like the original, but now I don't know. It's not a bad game by any means, I think it might have been a bit rushed, perhaps, and sloppier with the story machinations and some other stuff than the previous games.

#28 Posted by NTM (7264 posts) -

@pyromagnestir: I'll just leave it with a question. I know Uncharted games could basically keep going since their stories are mostly separate, but without spoiling it, can you tell me, does this feel like an end to Nathan Drake's story? Does it feel like this could be the last Uncharted game, or does it just end kind of like two and the original, like "Well, that adventure is over, what's next!?" Or is it a bit of both?

#29 Posted by hoossy (932 posts) -

@NTM:

Uncharted or Metal Gear series.

Max Payne is good but really only worth a rental... the Uncharted multiplayer will last you longer if you care for it... and Metal Gear is metal gear... can't go wrong there.

Also, Prometheus wasn't a great movie...just had to say that

#30 Posted by FancySoapsMan (5806 posts) -

The MGS series is a must play, so that should be you first choice.

Max Payne is great too . Obviously it won't last you as long as MGSHD though.

#31 Posted by Grillbar (1796 posts) -

out of those UC3 imo even though 2 was better

#32 Posted by Hizang (8534 posts) -

@NTM: If you sign up for Playstation + just for a month you could get inFamous 2 and a bunch of other free games that are here right now including Little Big Planet 2, Warhammer 40K Space Marine and the new Virtua Fighter.

#33 Posted by Clonedzero (4091 posts) -

max payne 3.

great single player campaign. honestly the best shooter single player ive played in YEARS. its fantastic.

the multiplayer is surprisingly extremely good. its fun, its fast, its got good maps and game modes.

great game. underrated too which sucks.

#34 Posted by MocBucket62 (1147 posts) -

I voted for Uncharted 3, such an awesome game all around.

Though MGS HD may be better for value.

#35 Posted by Jeust (10473 posts) -

I'd say Metal Gear Solid Collection space jockey, despite loving Uncharted 3. It has much more bang for the buck, and the games comprised are great!

#36 Edited by pyromagnestir (4240 posts) -

@NTM: It's not quite "well this is over, so what's next?" But it's definitely not something that feels like the last Uncharted game. I think they left off at a point where it feels like both the characters and the franchise might be taking a bit of a break.

#37 Posted by mitsuko_souma (135 posts) -

The ending to Uncharted 3 was very open-ended, it did not feel like the conclusion to a trilogy in the least bit.

You can take it to the bank that Uncharted 4 will be the premeire title in the 1st year of the PS4. There's too much money to be made for them not to do this.

#38 Posted by pornstorestiffi (4909 posts) -

If your looking for something that will last you a long time i would get MGS HD Collection. But on the other hand Uncharted 3 is a pretty good choice too, single player might not be lengthy, but its solid. And there is multiplayer and co-op.

#39 Posted by NTM (7264 posts) -

@FancySoapsMan: I already have all the Metal Gear Solid games, but still.

#40 Edited by NTM (7264 posts) -

@hoossy: Of course I'm not going to argue over whether Prometheus is a good movie or not, but I liked it a lot and I do feel that whatever complaints are made towards it, for the most part, is unneeded. I guess I had my expectations set correctly, although if I go into any more detail I could say that my expectations were set incorrectly, but I still really enjoyed it. Maybe in time, your opinion will change just as mine has with movies I've seen in theaters in the past, like Avatar; I thought that movie was kind of meh when I first saw it in theater, but I saw it a few more times on blu-ray when it came out later, and loved it, now I have the Extended Blue-Ray Collector's Edition.

#41 Posted by Redbullet685 (6025 posts) -

I would say Uncharted 3. The single-player isn't as good as UC2, but the multiplayer is much better and there is still a large amount of people that play it including myself. And pick up the DLC Pass thing too, cause there is a lot of great DLC for UC3.

#42 Posted by NTM (7264 posts) -

Oh, and I should also say, I'm mainly (actually, I won't lie, I'm only) wanting these games because I want to experience the campaigns, and I probably won't touch any of the multiplayer.
