Hi guys, like most people in the community I'm still reeling after hearing news of Ryan Davis passing. I've cried a few times and thought the best way to honor the man besides a drink in my hand and playing my summer jams loud is with some video games. Not really sure where to start but was hoping to get some sort of idea of what were some of Ryan's favorites and start from there. I'm going to start getting my Money Idol Exchanger on, then probably play some Ms. Pac-Man and do some dumb shit in Saints Row the Third. Wondering what games you'll play to remember Ryan?
What games should I play to honor Ryan Davis?
Was he into Pokemon Snap or was that just a random game they played through? I had always wanted to play it and thought about getting it now.
I've been playing a lot of SMB3. Not getting real far, because the Japanese version is all I have right now, and that version's kind of ridiculous. I should break out the Money Idol Exchanger later on. SR3 sounds pretty cathartic right now too.

I think that was just a case of him and patrick playing through a random game together.

On twitter a while back I believe he was playing and loving it during the weekend which resulted in him bringing it in to do a live show for it. Good idea think I have my copy in a box some where in storage, I'll probably grab mine later today.
I've been thinking of looking at his GOTY lists from the last few years and seeing what I haven't played.
@pulledabrad: That Incredible Crisis quick look he did was amazing, one of the first games I thought of just didn't know the what it was called.
It's time to plug in X-Com and defend the earth from the nefarious alien invasion, in tribute of our hero.
Oh shit good reminder just grabbed that off of GMG a few days ago.
I posted this in the "Games to Remember Ryan Davis" thread but this one appears to have been made first. Figured I'd post it hear too since people reading this are clearly looking for games Ryan loved...
TRIALS AND FTL!!!
I believe he also really liked Mark of the Ninja, Hotline Miami, Fez, Walking Dead (the real one of course)...
I wanna say Dust: An Elysian Tale (can't recall who really loved it, could have been Brad or Patrick. It was mentioned in one of the first Bombcasts I ever heard) and I'm sure he liked Sleepy Dawgs but was always dwarfed by Vinny's love for it.
Bonus Round: GODDAMN 50 CENT: BLOOD ON THE MUTHAFUCKIN' SAND MUTHFUCKA GET DAT SKUUUUUULLLLLL!!!
Well, before this happened (or before we knew) I spent all of July 4th with the Bombcast crew fighting guys in WWE 13. I spent hours importing songs to my XBOX to make sure Ryan ran out to the Bombcast theme, Jeff came out as the Rap Man, Brad came out to 'Lockdown' and Vinny to 'Party Hard.'
It was time well spent.
I hope they make another Just Cause game and call it Just Cause 3: Just Cuz.
I can't be the first person to think of that but I've never heard anyone else say it...
I wish i would have sent that to Ryan so he could tell me how dumb i am ):

They definitely made that joke before, I feel like it was actually Ryan himself. They were using it to explain why the dumb shit in the game works the way it does... "just 'cause"
