For those wondering how to change the skin colour: Hover over your name at the top of the page. See the two As? They represent what colour you want. Click the one you would like to use.

The poll was nearly called what skin colour do you prefer?

That wouldn't have went well.

Black. I assume most people do

#4 Posted by ZeForgotten (10397 posts) -

The one with different shades of Grey (or Gray, if that's the word anyone  feels like using for some reason)

#5 Posted by Baillie (4025 posts) -

@SadPatrol: I know a bunch of people who don't. I'm just curious.

Also, I bet there is still a lot of people who don't know there is a white version.

I really thought this was a racial thing, i'm a terrible person. The White version of the site is kinda goofy looking, I like the darker version of the website.

Why isnt GB (classic) listed? I haven't swapped from that since they added it last BLL show.

Latino.

Black because otherwise I would be racist.

Oh yea, the white site burns out my corneas in my dark computer room with my giant backlit flat panel. That's why i don't use it.

Black, the white version kind of hurts my eyes.

Black. I've never seen the white version and I don't like change.

Black. That's how the whole internet should be. Why would I ruin my eyes by shining bright white at them for hours at a time?

#23 Posted by Flacracker (1571 posts) -

How do you change it?

#24 Posted by Grilledcheez (3942 posts) -

Black!

#25 Posted by believer258 (11555 posts) -

Why the fuck would anyone use anything other than black?

Black, what are you, crazy?

#31 Posted by LordAndrew (14417 posts) -

Anyone who chooses white is a Communist. You're not a Communist, are you?

#32 Posted by marbleCmoney (446 posts) -

I love the dark site. Really easy on my eyes and it stands out from most other websites.

#33 Posted by Brendan (7663 posts) -

I tried using the white version for a bit and I was surprised at how good the latest version of it was. If I wasn`t so used to the black version I would have no problem using it`s opposite.

#34 Posted by SlightConfuse (3963 posts) -

white much cleaner and brighter

#35 Posted by Sterling (2048 posts) -

I didn't know you could change this! I was looking for something like this for a while however. Thank you. I have terrible eyes, and reading on the site for more than a few minutes at a time strained them. I am now using the white background, and I love. Thank you again.

#36 Posted by jesterroyal (347 posts) -

White text on black is so much easier to read. When i read black text on a white background for too long it only reminds me that my computer screen is basically a giant light bulb whose only goal is to make me more blind than I already am. Black and grey all the way.

#37 Posted by RPGee (759 posts) -

Black, because it's more efficient in terms of power use, and so better for the environment. True story.

#38 Posted by Mendelson9 (401 posts) -

Black on my personal computer and white on computers I don't use much for a surprise.

#39 Posted by StrawHatLaw13 (166 posts) -

Black. It's easier on the eyes for me. Especially when it's 5 in the morning and I haven't slept yet.

#40 Posted by Hector (3352 posts) -

Black. White strains my eyes a little.

Black, although I just accidentally voted for white.

#43 Posted by DutchMeat (64 posts) -

Didn't even know there was a white version. Switching... yeah I prefer black.

I went with white for a while when the site was redesigned, but I'm back with black.

#46 Posted by gla55jAw (2684 posts) -

I just switched on the white site. I was originally going to say people who use the white one are crazy...it's not as terrible as I thought, but it is still way too bright for me. I like darker sites in general.

I find reading white text on a black background makes my eyes go nuts, like I started seeing horizontal lines on walls after I read even a short post back when the site was black only.

I agree that it should probably be easier on the eyes to look at a black site, but man, it works exactly opposite for me. I'm actually quite glad there's a white site, it means I actually read stories instead of just watch videos.

I wonder if the huge skew towards the black site is mainly due to the preference for a dark site, or people not knowing how to switch to the white site...
