What happened to the Collection list?

When I first got saw this site I was really hoping I could use the Collection to create a "database" of my games, but it never worked, and after a few weeks the button disappeared, leaving just a blank space in the "Add to list" view. It seems the posts about this feature stopped 7 months ago, does this mean everyone forgot about it? What happened to it? As a Web programmer myself, I can't really see what would be such a big problem with fixing it, other than the fact that everything takes time, what could be the big difference between that list, and the other lists? With the new redesign I was kinda hoping we would see the Collection list functioning again - but no, there's still just a big empty hole..

It never actually worked the way they wanted it to. It was just sort of tossed together for the site's launch.
They're working on a vastly improved collection tool, but I have no idea when it's going to launch.
