The Wall Street Journal has a crazy idea... merge Disney and Electronic Arts to form what would likely be the largest gaming monster in the world, bigger than Activision Blizzard.
What could that mean? Kingdom Hearts published by EA? Remember that Sims movie they talked about? Could we see Disney push that ahead instead? A Battlefield ride at Disney World? What happens to Madden... who works for NBC? Disney does own ABC and ESPN, so can we see Jaworski NFL 2010 next year? Mickey Mouse in Rock Band 3?
Alright, those possibilities are highly unlikely, but prepare for some changes if Disney takes their advice.
Thoughts?
What if Disney and EA were one?

"largest gaming monster in the world"Monster is right.
It will be the end of all other game publishers as we know them.
This monster will eat them whole and spit out nothing but Disney products in their stead.
There will be a decade war against Activision Blizzard, but eventually Activision Blizzard will fall at the feet of DisnEAy.
Disney world MMO? o.O Scary thoughts.
That would go beyond just videogames, then.
At least Acti-Zard is two video game companies merging together.
Definitely could work.
And all of you guys who are saying this will turn EA's work into a bunch of movie-licensed crap, please shut up.
Is ESPN filled with Mickey Mouse and Goofy? No.
Does ABC constantly air crappy live action Disney movies? No.
Was Pure a bad game? No.
The end to a videogames standard as we know it. They are okay by themselves, put the together and who knows what will happen!
