What is so bad about tony hawk ride?

Im kinda new here and saw the review for the game and was wondering what is so bad about it?

The review will detail everything that's wrong with the game. But I'll go ahead and sum it up: The part where you play the game is bad. The idea of a skateboarding game where you use a skateboard peripheral is sound. It's the execution that's atrocious. The board is kind of a nonfunctional mess, and the game itself is awful - both visually and mechanically. Look at Jeff's review for details.

Did you watch the Quicklook? It looks laughably bad.
 
On Casual its like an on rails game, and on medium it controls like ass.

it's a plastic skateboard, without wheels, to ride a game on rails. Not a big mystery/

Essentially, I'm gonna guess because it's charging over 100 dollars for a game that doesn't even work.

And no, I don't mean doesn't work the way it's supposed to.  I mean it just doesn't work.
