what is it for you?

As this generation I mean  Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, DS and PSP. So no Vita or 3DS. Also you might include PC games that are from the same time frame.

I'll say that it is Dead Space, for its mastery of horror, innovation and satisfying gameplay.

DUKE NUKEM FOREVER!!!

Those guys on reach didn't stand a chance. LOL! I'm kidding that game disappointed the fuck out of me. Randy Pitchford got the skills of a true con-artist.

I can never choose one.

I'll pick one series and that's Mass Effect

For me that series has been so important and I simply can't get enough of that universe. Looking forward to whatever comes next.

Let's get real. Dino D-Day revolutionized the gaming front as we know, but the sonic boom of pure innovation has yet to be heard by the industry at large.

...Batman Arkham City? I guess? I really like that game, but thinking about this question I realized there hasn't been anything this generation I feel super strongly about.

And by "of this generation," I mean "of all time ever conceived by man."

#37 Posted by FancySoapsMan (5855 posts) -

Metal Gear Solid 4

#38 Posted by Skyfire543 (749 posts) -

That's really hard. I'm torn between Red Dead Redemption, GTA 4, Mass Effect 2, and Max Payne 3.

I guess I can decide by gameplay time, and that would be GTA 4. I put over 150 hours into that game and beat it multiple times.

And by "of all time ever conceived by man", I mean, "of all time in every possible physical or meta material universe, before man when particles were the vehicle to life, the history of man, and the infinite stretch after mankind."

You know. I think of the best game on consoles this generation, and I can think of maybe 5 or 6 games that are PC only and far exceed it's quality.

#42 Posted by Kedi2 (255 posts) -

Skyrim and Mass Effect 2 for me.

#43 Posted by Make_Me_Mad (3113 posts) -

Bayonetta, or Dark Souls.
