But my cousin once bought a game in 2.5 bucks, It was a rap music karaoke, but she doesnt bought a microphone, so she never played that game. stupid cousin.
EDIT: with NEW  i dont mean a recent relased game.

I guess Street Fighter IV PC for $20.

#3 Edited by MrKlorox (11209 posts) -

Assassin's Creed, Riddick: Dark Athena, and Neverwinter Nights 2 all for $5 each earlier this week from Direct2Drive's 5 year anniversary sale. I'll probably pick up more next week or the week after when the other genres become sale items.
If those aren't new enough, I got SF4 for $20 also.
Such prices have kept me satisfied (read: relieved) with my recent PC hardware purchases. It wasn't always this good, and now is the time to invest in the games.

Bought Silent Hill: Homecoming for Xbox 360 for $10 at that Best Buy deal earlier this year.

I once bought a copy of Shadowgrounds for the PC for £3 new in a shop that really isn't known for selling games. I also got Viewtiful Joe for like £4 new in a local supermarket. Supermarkets are strangely where I'm finding some decent deals, lately.

A little below $2 is probably the lowest. The most recent was Orange Box (PS3) for $5 at Best Buy.

The most recent one I can think of is Alone in the Dark for $5. Yeah, I know - I overpaid.

All games retail for $209.82.
It's not a bargain find though... as anyone with Steam can pick it up for that price.

When my local independant game store went broke I got a bunch of crap really cheaply. I think the best priced game was $20 for a game that was original best found for about $89 in any stores.

#20 Posted by rjayb89 (7728 posts) -

Probably $5 for Braid?  For a retail copy, Viva Pinata for $9.99.  Got every achievement.  Worth every penny.

#21 Posted by SBYM (1219 posts) -

$.50 for a copy of Age Of Empires Gold at the grocery store checkout. There's a huge bin of older PC titles for next to nothing at most grocery stores and even some gas stations here in Houston it seems. Got Half-Life for almost nothing as well.

I paid two dollars for a copy of Road Rash 3D on the Playstation when I was in Elementary School. Sony was holding this event at my local PX, and I got a coupon!
I had an awesome time with that game too!

#23 Posted by bonbolapti (1617 posts) -

I would have got Lost Planet for $15 but apparently I had money on a gift card that I forgot I had in my wallet.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed for $9.99

#29 Posted by Duecenage (225 posts) -

99 cents; Myst at Wal-Mart!

#30 Posted by SBYM (1219 posts) -
@Smarter_Martyr: No kidding. I've probably gotten close to a hundred hours out of that game & the expansion. The only reason I rarely play it now is 'cause my brother bought a copy of Rise Of Nations & it's expansion.

I have gotten quite a bit of stuff from the clearance racks at Target Specifically.
Unreal Tournament 3 PC: $5
Family Guy PS2 : $5
Sega Soccer Slam XBOX: $5
Virtua Fighter 5 X360: $5
Other better titles I have paid a little more for.
Prince of Persia X360: $10
50 Cent BotS X360: $10
a few others for around 15 or so.
I work at a Target and usually just check what is back there, when they have about 8 or more of the game I usually just wait till there is only 1-3 left or till they mark it down enough. I also just asked one of my managers which day they are *supposed* to go through and mark them down again (Monday at my store). So, that is how I do that. Worst part about it all though is I have an expanded library of games I only kinda play or some I havent touched at all...

Oh yeah, I bought one of those Sega GT 2000/Jet Set Radio Future double packs for a dollar at GameStop. I wasn't really all that into either game (SGT2000 got maybe 30 minutes from me), but for a dollar? Hell, fantastic.

#33 Posted by Smarter_Martyr (592 posts) -
@SBYM:  Though dated, I still play it just to dominate the AI in regicide for a good half hour, here and then. Rise of Nations is fantastic. You're a man after my own heart. *Weeps*

The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault On Dark Athena - $5

#35 Posted by SBYM (1219 posts) -
@Smarter_Martyr: Indeed. Though, for the first couple of months that we had RON, I didn't play it as I was still enthralled with AOE. But once I finally made the switch it was blissful.

@SBYM: It's like leaving crack to shoot up heroin.
