Top quality remake full voice, amazing looking graphics.
What would you pick? I would pick any number of snes or ps1 Squaresoft games, Dude I'd fucking love a Ehrgeiz.

Interesting choice in Ehrgeiz there.

For me, I'd love to see a Mega Man X remake.

I would love to see a 3D version of BlackThorne done by Blizzard.

Any of the classic Snowblind games. Preferably all of them.

@Rihanna: Ding! Nice selection. I'm not sure if that game would hold up or it's strictly nostalgia talking, but man alive did that game blow my socks off on 3DO. The sense of speed and tension when you were whipping through those city street and cross-traffic was just awesome.

I'd personally have to go with either Bushido Blade, or a true RPG ShadowRun. I would normally include (a real) Syndicate in this wish-list, but that dream looks dead now.

Dreamake chat, eh?

Fuck, I dunno. I kinda like old games how they are. Maybe an old early-3D shooter that didn't age great? I can't actually think of a specific one. All the other games that are old and remake material I kinda like how they are.

Seiken Densetsu 3 / Secret of Mana 2. It improved on the original Secret of Mana in nearly every way, but for some reason never made it outside of japan. Good fan-translations are available though and it's a blast to play on a emulator.. now if only it would get remade, preferably with online coop...

Trespasser. By remake I mean the same basic concepts but made good.

Fuck yeah, Megaman Legends 2.

Panzer Dragoon Saga, because I don't want to pay $300 for a copy.

Battlefield 3 is almost as satisfying as Battlefield 2, so I think I can now peacefully bid BF2 farewell and stop craving a remake.

My single player pick would be.. Let's see, San Andreas is getting a proper sequel next year, Max Payne is still 100% playable and goodlooking today, hmm.. I'll have to go with Call of Duty.

A God Hand remake with crisp, HD-ified graphics, an adjusted camera view, updated player movement, at least three times as many moves added, additional roulette wheel moves that are customizable, customizable outfits and colors, as well as more customizability in upgrades.

final fantasy 8. the exact same game, but with 2011 graphics. fuck the haters.

Resident Evil 2 using a gameplay setup similar to RE 3.5. Or maybe one of the Fear Effect games (or fuck it, just release Inferno!), though I don't how the gameplay would function to make it viable for this generation.

This. But i would go with adjustable, instead of adjusted. Of course a new camera view would be better for many, but i actually prefer the "old" camera.

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem would be pretty awesome. I would also love a re-made, or at the very least a port of Snatcher.

There's nothing wrong with the camera or player movement, but I want something a bit different than the straight-back camera and ultra-tanky tank controls if that game is going to be remade.

This but with voice acting

I'd like the first 3 Mega Man games remade into one big (and good) game played from a third person perspective, with cel shaded graphics and good writing for the simple story and characters. Additionally I want a combat system that's simple, mostly focused on dodging and dumping a bunch of buster shots in the enemy's face, and some light yet challenging traversal gameplay.

It would just be nice if Mega Man could make the transiton into 3D and be relevant again, if only for a short moment.

Understandable. Also, i want them to polish the places, especially the "Casino & Arena" area. Maybe it's just me, but i thought they were all very bland.

Yeah as much as I like Megaman Legends, it would be cool if they tried (GOOD) 3-D with the other Megaman series.

My needs are simple: a HD upscaling of Yakuza 1&2 with the japanese voice acting put back into the first one. It sounds like it would take all of five minutes to make happen. But then you'd have to find someone to actually sell it to, and that's a very dicey proposition.

#37 Edited by Sooty (8082 posts) -

Shenmue 1 & 2

Those games already do a better job of story telling than many current gen games, at least with the Japanese voice overs.

The great variety of locations in those games would look stunning on current gen hardware. The games hold up quite well even today when played on an emulator or Dreamcast with a VGA box.

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Baldur's Gate II SOA and TOB

Oh, that's all included in my HD-ified version. A better realization of the environments as well. More detail and the likes.

Future Cop: L.A.P.D.

I'm all for this. Having played the game relatively recently, I think a remake would make a pretty good downloadable game at this point. It wouldn't take to much to add some prettier graphics, fix the slightly stiff controls of the original, rerecord some dialog, add online for the multiplayer mode etc.

It seems like such a good idea from where I'm standing that I'm almost surprised that EA hasn't done it yet.

@Napalm: Man, God Hand was awesome. I would ask for more bosses in the HD remake or maybe to make the weapons feel a little bit more fluid. But that's all nit-picking. OH! And Co-Op. I don't if it's Two Genes, if it's you and Devil Hand, or if it's a (lenghty)separate mode. I WANT CO-OP IN DAT GAME!

Morrowind comes to mind. Gothic 1 and 2 as well.

Actually, any game released in the odd "3D polygonal" period in the early 2000s when the models and textures look total shit.

Also, New Game +. You can restart and keep both God Hands as well as the Double Shaolin.

How about making it more of an open world roleplaying game? You have different levels and scalable enemies, so going through with double God Hands still keeps the game challenging.

The game already had a "Dinamic Difficulty thing" so, maybe they should add a few more difficulty levels in New Game +. Man, i love to dream.

What about an upgradable God Hand? You can increase punching speed or power, or equip special combat modifiers.

Star Control 2, pretty much Mass Effect 2 with better comic relief and space combat.

Warcraft 3 would be good too, expand the rexxar campaign to a full product would be great.
