I think mine might be command and conquer but that may be based more on the cutscenes rather than the missions.

In terms of production value Starcraft 2 pretty easily (though it's grossly overrated in every other respect). In terms of difficulty Warcraft 3 on hard. In terms of story Brood War's is alright. In terms of sheer scale Supreme Commander, and scale kind of wins out in the case of RTS.

Grew up with the Command & Conquer franchise, and as much as I'm not a biggest fan of it post-Westwood (curse you, EA!), it still has a place in my heart. Especially loved how tongue-in-cheek the Red Alert games were.

World in Conflict for sure. I love the Cold War setting and it also has Alec Baldwin. The expansion is especially interesting playing from the Soviet side.

Myth 2 I think.

They had a great mythology and unique look and gameplay.

C&C; 1 & 2, the Red Alerts, Dark Reign, and Battle Realms are all up there though.

I STILL NEED TO PLAY THIS GAME >:(

I dunno, Wargame is sick, as was every Men of War game. Not sure if that's just cause they are great games though.

You should play World in Conflict.

It's definitely my favorite recent RTS and my favorite RTS that features modern weapons systems. Probably the best RTS campaign I've played in the past few years, too. Oh and they play Tears for Fears' "Everybody Wants to Rule the World." Great stuff.

@Shotgunblast97: I'm definitely partial to the StarCraft II single player. Came into the game for multiplayer and enjoyed the single player much more than I expected.

I can't decide between World in Conflict or Dawn of War... or Company of Heroes x.x

World in Conflict I think takes it. This reminds me I never picked up the expansion.

No Company of Heroes love? I've only played CoH, Warcraft III, and the original Starcraft, but I liked CoH's campaign a lot.

Total War campaigns have always given me a fun time and haven't ever turned out the same way twice for me, and switching between the campaign map thinking of where your going to move troops to defend or expand and manage regrions and down in close with massive epic battles give a good pace for the game instead of just going from level to level constantly with your battle head on.

No idea how company of hero's is but i am meaning to play through it sometime since a friend made me grab COH: Tales Of Valor.

Toss up between Starcraft II and Dawn of War. They're both pretty awesome.

I will go with Starcraft and Warcraft 3.

The Red Alert series deserves some mention too. Its not my favorite in terms of story, but the tongue in cheek humor has a lot of charm.

For me has to be the undead campaign in Warcraft 3 & the expansion, both games blur together so much I can't really separate them but still loved that campaign & game mechanics of playing the undead in Warcraft3.
