I'm sure everyone has one. The reviews are terrible you are told that the game is broken and buggy but for some reason you still love it. I was a big Driver fanboy back in the day and when Driv3r came out I ignored the reviews and bought it full price. It may have been a prematurely released unpolished broken mess but damn it was fun to play.

If you have a loved broken game that comes to mind leave a comment and also feel free to add a youtube video if you want.

STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl or Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines (although this was unofficially fixed by fans).

also, Morrowind is one of my favourite games, but it is totally not broken.

The original Killzone. The rag doll physics were terrible, the A.I. only had 3 lines of dialogue , textures on an ISA soldier's face would pop in 2 seconds after you meet him, A.I. was stupid, game balance was broken after you choose Rico as that guy with his rocket launching mini gun was a walking tank. Despite the game's half finished state I enjoyed the hell out of it as it had an awesome story, a good cast of characters and plenty of action.

A lot of my favourite games are the more broken ones - usually because it's these broken games that are the games that are really pushing the limits.

Cryostasis. Some really amazing ideas in that game, but awful technical issues.

Too Human.  It's a janky, four level, shell of a game but I love it.  I dig the cyber viking story, love the loot lust, and would happily buy the sequels to this train wreck if they ever get to make them.  I spent over twenty minutes running around a giant empty room in dungeon three until the game figured out its own scripting and finally spawned the next set of enemies.  I laughed that it shipped in this state and kept playing.  Best $10 I ever spent.

I'm having a hard time thinking of broken games I've played. I certainly wouldn't consider Fallout 3 or New Vegas to be anywhere close to being broken. My issues with the games have been completely minimal.

Mortal Kombat Armageddon.

Even if it wasn't buggy as hell it still has a terrible fighting engine. But its good for killing braincells when I'm bored.

Considering most of the games people are listing aren't all that broken...

I'll say The Red Star. The game definitely had a not-quite-finished feel to it.

Modern Warfare 2....BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or to answer like an actualy rational person instead of an utter cunt probably Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines was messed up as fuck when it first came out. It even have a literal show stopper that wouldn't let you progress. It got fixed up by fans though and is now even better. You should play that game.

It's a tie between Fallout 3, Alpha Protocol, Stalker and Knights of the Old Republic II.

Fucking "Destroy HK Droid Facility" quest that you could start and not finish in Kotor II still makes me sad.
I always start it knowing that it can't be finished (unless you were playing Star Wars Galaxies)

KOTOR 2 without a doubt; I had FUCKING NIGHTMARES about that game because I played it so much.

See I would get stuck in the game and I would alt tab to a Gamefaqs.com walkthrough and then alt tab back. I started having dreams where I was the main character and when I 'alt tabbed' I woke up. I used to wake up at least 3, 4 times a night. Good times!

Morrowind without a doubt.  The brokenness sometimes added to it as it really gave you an amazing sense of freedom when you realized how you could totally game the system, and a sense of freedom is great for as ambitious an open world game as it was.  I love the youtube video of character creation to main quest being beaten in less than ten minutes.

Hell yaw that game was fun! And like most games that were infamously known for their shittyness, I felt that the glitches made the game more enjoyable, and added a great deal more character.

Morrowind, but I think that the nature of that game kind of has to do with it. It came out in 2002, had one of the biggest worlds I've ever played, was absolutely full of items and people, lush and varied areas, tons of secrets, so many weapons and armors, hours and hours of quests. It's no surprise that there would be bugs, so I tend to forget about that. I wouldn't really say it's broken, but compared to other more linear games it does have a lot of problems. But again, that's just the type of game it is.
