The Red9 in Resident Evil 4. I love shooting that gun. I'm not quite sure what makes it great, but I find it satisfying.

I'll go with the Sparda sword from Devil May Cry, how they have managed to only properly include that in one game is crazy.

After a little bit of reminiscing, I would say the Plasma Pistol from Halo:CE specifically. That, or the pistol. Preferably both at the same time.

If anyone says anything other than the shotgun from Resident Evil 4 then you are a bad person.

I think we had a thread about this not too long ago, my answer is still, and will always be, the Crissaegrim. Just hold on to the hilt and slice 8 times a second.

I'm a shotgun kind of gal, but I can appreciate a good handgun (don't kick in that open goal, seriously).

I really love using normal, nothing-fancy, pistols. No idea why.

Scrooge McDucks cane from the NES Ducktales game. It's a golf club AND a pogo stick of death.

I loved the look of the Ion cannon in the pre-EA Command and Conquer games, but my favourite was probably the chrono shift. I just loved teleporting an army of my guys into the middle of their base and wrecking havoc or teleporting a shit load of their expensive ships on top of their buildings and not only destroying the ships but hurting the buildings.

The old Counter-Strike Desert Eagle. Not the shitty new one. When you made a quick flick shot and scored a headshot on someone with this thing, it was the most satisfying feeling ever. 10x more powerful than the female orgasm.

The Doom II Super Shotgun.
Dis one right here. Best reloading sound in any game ever.
Tied with that would be the Cerebral Bore from Turok 2.

Oh man I totally forgot- any gun that requires a spin-up before firing. Especially the UT2004 Minigun.

@TheSouthernDandy: The Cerebral Bore was a creatively sadistic weapon.

My choices include:

- the SBC Cannon (giant cannonball gun) from the Serious Sam games,

- the Diskarmor from Rygar,

- the Wizard's twin disintegration beam from Diablo 3

- Those badass T3 gattling turrets the UEF get in Supreme Commander. Heck, just about every Experimental in SupComFA is all about MOAR Dakka!!

I've got to go with the stake gun from Painkiller. Had never seen anything like the ability to pin guys to walls before that. Loads of fun.

... and for the lovers of all time classics: the jump-and-slash from Ninja Gaiden 1.

The Colt Python revolver in Half Life 2. The sound, the power, and that accuracy. Beautiful.
