I don't really know... maybe Mass Effect.
What is "Your Game"
Metal Gear Solid 1, 3 and 4 all affected me pretty differently and intensely, and I identify with them a lot. Subsistence in particular is just a world I love spending time in.
Elder scrolls i love the big fantasy setting
My game is definitely Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 2. Those games had awesome story decent gameplay, and really fun Co-Op experiences. And the weapons were super awesome too. They were also my first shooter I got to play cooperatively so yeah. Also Mass Effect is great, BioWare really makes it feel like it is your game.
the mass effect series, and assassins creed. Those series i find so compelling story wise and game play wise. i feel liek I have a personal connection to so many characters in the respective series. I'd also say dragon age origins. but Not dragon age 2 at all. that game to me is still one of the biggest disappointments ever.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games specifically COP just the setting and absolute terror the atmosphere brings is incredible
The Elder Scrolls games are definitely my type of entertainment. They allow for such freedom and have well-constructed worlds with history. It's all very convincing. Sometimes I love just walking through the forest in Oblivion while it rains. The music, OH the music. Jeremy Soule is a God and produces some of the most beautiful tracks I've ever heard.
This is a pariah move, but I love Majora's Mask. Also, Red Dead Redemption is excellent. There's so many too choose from though.
Super Smash Bros. Melee, probably. Too many fond memories of that game, though I haven't played it in a long time. Lately, I feel it could be Uncharted 2. Similarities in plot, characters, etc., aside, it's my Raiders of the Lost Ark for videogames, in that I can play it and always feel satisfied afterwards. If I complained about UC2, I feel like I'd just be nitpicked minor stuff that doesn't matter, personally.
Elder Scrolls and Frictional's games (Penumbra and Amnesia).
Elder Scrolls is almost like the fantasy universe I would come up with. Tamriel is just so nasty and crazy in every aspect, and even the elves, who are usually the pretty, perfect angels in other RPGs, are a bunch of jerks. Did you know that Wood Elves in their home province eat their own dead? It's true!
And since I'm a big fan of early 20th-century/late 19th-century horror fiction (Lovecraft, MR James, EF Benson, etc) Penumbra and Amnesia obviously resonate a lot with me because they're the only games that really provide that style of horror.
I would say Majora's Mask, but that isn't really "made for me" so much as it hooked me in a way I can't really explain. Je ne sais quoi you might say. If you were French.
Mass Effect -I couldn't ask for anything more. All the choices you make and it's such a great universe. You can be your own personal Dath Vader or Hans Solo. It works great for me becuase I usually go back and play it again, trying to be completely evil with all my choices. I just about came when my eyes started turning red from all my evilness. The combat is also getting better each game. I would also buy this game if it was just a dating sim.
I have to say. Bioshock 1 and 2 are pretty high up on the list for me. I love walking around Rapture and listening to those audio logs, and strategically setting up traps.
I have to say Mass Effect 1, that game blew my mind at the time. The setting, story, choices and Wrex are awesome
That is a tough call. I'm going to go with Ninja Gaiden Black. It does not speak to me on every level. Story, music, etc. But it's brillantly designed, to the point that modern games have yet to top it.
Bioshock for me, as many have said the setting and music are amazing and it is a time period of seeming blissfulness but with heavy dark undertones.
Psychonauts. I think what makes it "snap" with me so good is how cheery and happy it is. And then you find this dark, depressing thing underneath which makes it so much more real. Psychonauts got hauntingly sad stuff going on, and the way that fits with the comedy and humor of the game is just brilliant.
Also Fallout 2 and Majoras Mask. I cannot get enough of those games.
I'd say it's out of Silent Hill, Condemned or Dead Space for me. The story (as far-fetched as all of them are), atmosphere, art style, sound/music design and pacing of all three completely reels me in each time.
A big mention goes to Oblivion too. Really love that game and can't wait for Skyrim.
