I'll show you mine if you show me yours. (please limit to 1 item per poster)

I wish I had something of interest, but I don't.

Nice setup though....

N64 Controller Pak

Other than that NOTHING

I have a PAL copy of Shining Force 3, which is supposedly fairly rare. Keep getting that whole "maybe I shouldn't have bought this" feeling as soon as I remember it though.

#5 Posted by Indiana_Jenkins (387 posts) -

I have a Vita. From what I hear, not too many people have one.

Zing!

(I actually really like it.)

#6 Posted by Damodar (1331 posts) -

Awesome SamSho. I'm worried that some day I'll either end up with a NeoGeo and collection or do something dumb like just buy a NeoGeo game just to have one.

I don't have anything super crazy, but my most prized gaming possession is probably my Famicom.

I dread the day it starts turning yellow :(

My copy of the original Persona 3.

#8 Edited by HerbieBug (4212 posts) -

My Chrono Trigger cart. I still have the box and manual, and also the big poster/map thing.

#9 Edited by Zeik (2334 posts) -

My collector's edition of Ni no Kuni maybe? Seems a little weird to call that a "prized possession" since I only got it this year, but it was one of the rare instances where I payed significantly more cash for something that not a lot of people actually got. That Wizard's Companion book is pretty awesome though.

Although I might place my copy of Suikoden 2 higher, since it's rare and also my favorite RPG.

I sleep with it under my pillow.

My copy of PC Gamer's 150th issue, which by itself is very meaningful to me as a PC Gamer.

But I also got it signed by the one and only Notch!, Dean "Rocket" Hall (the creator of DayZ), Logan Decker, and the other staff members at PC Gamer. To me these signatures mean a lot. And I got them all during the PC Gamer Panel at PAX Prime in 2012. What a glorious day. It's even more glorious to me since Notch actually for a split second, marveled at this edition of PC Gamer magazine before signing it :)

#12 Posted by lockwoodx (2479 posts) -

@Herbie You should have snapped a pic!

That signed PC Gamer is nice! Also digging the Famicom.

I have a complete boxed super metroid.

it's funny, even through I went through a big retro video game collecting faze I don't really have one singular game that jumps out at me as the "most prized".

Kinda makes me regret the money I spent on that stuff.

#14 Posted by Harkat (1100 posts) -

I have a boxed, Japanese copy of Metroid II for Gameboy. Picked it up for pretty cheap too!

#15 Posted by Jaqen_HGhar (877 posts) -

I got a boxed copy of 9: The Last Resort, with all the extra stuff that came with it. Not that major, and the game is so-and so (never managed to beat it due to the pain of getting it to run and a game-breaking bug), but still pretty fun to own.

#16 Posted by Bollard (5396 posts) -

It's a shit picture, but this is WhiteRa's signature mousepad... with his signature on it. Met him at DreamHack and he was so nice, even wrote a little message there too. Gunna get dis framed for sure.

Probably my collection of old gamer magazines. Nintendo Power, EGM, GamePro, Next Generation, Game Pro, PC Gamer, etc. Huge nostalgia trip looking through those.

#18 Posted by Random88 (284 posts) -

Would probably be my signed copy of Blazblue Continuum Shift. Won it in a competition

#19 Posted by Hitchenson (4682 posts) -

Does my PC count? Because that.

#20 Posted by Juzie (168 posts) -

My full name. It's a password in one of my favourite games ever.

#21 Posted by GnaTSoL (791 posts) -

Most likely my Super Metroid cartridge or my Megaman 8 game. And maybe my lightning force cartridge for my genesis if I could find it. lol

Probably my top three most important games to me, especially the latter two.

This is more for sentimental reasons, but my late grandfather's Atari 2600. He did a lot of woodworking and made a custom stand out of cherry wood that had a platform for the console on the top, little alcoves on the left and right sides for the 2 controllers, and 4 or 5 slots along the bottom, just enough to hold his 4 or 5 games.

I've been thinking about building an arcade cabinet (or at least a fight stick) for a while, and every time I look at the Atari in the stand I think about how sick it'd be to make a stained and polished wooden panel with exotic hardwoods for the buttons and joystick top. I'll make that some day.

I have all the Series 1 Skylanders. I'm still not sure how that happened exactly.

My PC, I guess.

God, I wish I'd never sold that PS2 collection. Over 20 games... perfect condition... eighty bucks... fuck, I need a Delorean.

I also don't have, or don't know where, my Super Nintendo games are.

Other than that, I still have a lot of PS1 games, most of which are in their cases. Unfortunately CD cases were not very sturdy in the late 90's so most of them are cracked or have been replaced.

This reminds me, I need to get a hold of my own late grandfather's Atari before someone gets the bright idea to sell it for pennies.

U.S. copy of Xenoblade and a good condition copy of Fire Emblem for GCN.

#26 Posted by RandomAtom (89 posts) -

Since you didn't specify "Gaming" to just video games, my copy of the Advanced D&D Dungeon Masters guide signed by Gabe, Tycho, most of the GB crew at the time and a bunch of other people.

#27 Posted by Thoseposers (782 posts) -

I could never reallly pick just one because i have a big collection of games i really love.

So i guess the first thing that came to my mind was a copy of xenoblade that i haven't played yet, so many other games to play through first haha

#28 Posted by Brenderous (1098 posts) -

14 year collection of nintendo power.

#29 Posted by Silvergun (297 posts) -

I have an original Ogre Battle cart for the SNES with the box and manual and everything. It's one of my all time favorite games, and out of all the games across the many consoles I've owned, it's the one I haven't gotten rid of. I hear it's pretty uncommon too, was hard as hell to find way back when I got it.

#30 Posted by TheManWithNoPlan (5367 posts) -

A physical copy of Company of Heroes I bought seven years ago when it came out. It's been neat to have ever since THQ went bankrupt. It's like a piece of gaming History.

#31 Posted by GradiusCat (23 posts) -

Because of some family connections: I have a Virtual Boy plus games but that not the cool part, it also came with a sick Virtual Boy cargo vest.

#32 Edited by Giantstalker (1604 posts) -

Probably the PC. And not just because it's worth so much, but also the time and effort getting everything overclocked and stable. Such a great feeling when it all finally works though

  • Mad Catz Arcade FightStick Standard Edition (360)
  • Mad Catz Tekken Tag Tournament Arcade FightStick Tournament Edition S (Wii U, not even own a Wii U ha)
  • Etokki Omni (multi-console)

iPad 4.

#36 Posted by FancySoapsMan (5813 posts) -

My PS2, probably.

It's the first console I bought with my own money, and a lot of my favorite games are on it.

#37 Posted by ArbitraryWater (11587 posts) -

I have boxed copies of Wizardry VII and TIE Fighter with all the manuals and floppies in pretty excellent condition. Not exactly a collection of NEO-GEO games, but I'll take it.

I guess I also have that stupid Fallout 3 Lunchbox that came with the special edition of the game somewhere (also Vault Boy Bobblehead), because I was a moron when I was 15 and bought special editions of games. I have no idea where my Resident Evil 5 tote bag went.

Maybe my import copy of Suikoden I&II for the PSP? That's pretty rare now, I think.
