what makes a good videogame review website?
Objectivity and personality.

" Bias "
Now that is untrue. The most professional game critic is indiscriminate in whose dicks they suck in their reviews :P.
Well, if you look at Giant Bomb for an example, they aren't corporate robots who were hired because they look good and are willing to accept bribes like IGN or current-era Gamespot, but they aren't pretentious art-house muckrakers like Destructoid either. They are four guys who genuinely like video games and are willing to admit their review biases with a bunch of insanity along the way. That is why they are the best.

" I like how Giantbomb isn't as strict as the other websites. I mean, if you look at IGN or Gametrailers, they're all business and no fun in my opinion. Giantbomb is more open, casual, honest, and is run by some very cool dudes. "Very true. However, I do like IGN's review a lot because it actually feels like it breaks down the game systematically. It actually feels like well... a review. If I want to get a general idea of the game and feelings of the game, I would check out IGN's review. Now if I want to check out a more personal or casual review, I check out Giantbomb. Giantbomb's review feels a lot like "If I were a consumer who actually buys and plays this game, I would say such and such and such." To me, it's really an "apple and orange" situation. But it doesn't hurt to check out multiple reviews before making a purchase.
I know. This site feels laid back I like that a lot about GB." I like how Giantbomb isn't as strict as the other websites. I mean, if you look at IGN or Gametrailers, they're all business and no fun in my opinion. Giantbomb is more open, casual, honest, and is run by some very cool dudes. "
