What music do ya listen to with certain games?

At th minute I'm playin Prototype, and due to the manic nature of the action in that game, I've been firin up Kill em All by Metallica and The Formation Of Damnation by Testament.

I usually listen to rock/metal when playing any game.

Medieval themed games call for Therion or Ensiferum.
I listen to Rap the rest of the time.

None, cause PS3 doesn't support it.  :(

Animal Crossing goes well with Liquid Swords. Honestly, I got a good laugh when I realized what I was doing when that happened.

Wu-Tang is good with fighting games, and the skate. games.  If you're playing a shooter try listening to the Sword's first album, I got such a rush playing Gears 2 listening to that.

When I was playing the original Black to death on Xbox, I made a playlist of a lot of my favourite breakbeat tunes. Serpent by Andy Page is a highlight of that one - that song still pumps me up something fierce... (sidenote: Black sequel, please)

I've also got a playlist called Rock 'n' Race set up on my 360, always ready to fire whenever I play any racing games (duh). Chock full of cranking rock tunes. And just to plug them again, Karnivool's 'Set Fire to the Hive' is the latest addition to that ever-expanding list. That tune's certainly got its hooks into me.

Oh, and way back when I was playing LAN DOOM II against my mates, I'd always have some crunchy industrial tunes to listen to. Scorching someone's face off with the plasma gun to the sounds of Ministry, Puncture and early Strapping Young Lad? Good times.

When I'm playing Quake 2 I like to crank megadeth. When I'm playing oblivion I like to listen to Gorillaz. And when I'm owning on games like Doom,prey,and Halo. Faith no more is there to greet me!

Unlucky about the PS3! I think Skate 2 might be the only game with custom tracks? Could be wrong! 

It depends on the game, usually it's rock/metal and old school hip hop. Sometimes though I like to listen to soothing stuff.

Podcasts

Other video game music. Does my nerdiness know no bounds? Answer: probably.

Oddly, I don't like listening to music while I play video games. I can never find the right balance between the music and game.

I usually don't like listening to music while playing games unless I'm doing something like searching for collectibles.

I usually listen to Converge and it not that I listen to The Black Dahlia Murder, Children of Bodom, Bloc Party, Arctic Monkeys, The Mars Volta, Tokyo Police Club, Abigail Williams, ect.

The music that's in the game. Unless it's Peggle or Trackmania or something like that, then I'll have my whole collection playing with shuffle on.

uh...the game music because i already have the microphone plugged into my ears and don't want to plug anything else.
