I just recently pulled out my copies of Saints Row 1 and 2 and had forgotten what a blast they are. I am excited for the third to arrive. Space Marines, on the other hand, sounds like a fairly short and limited experience. There are plenty of great shooters now and in the next few months. There has been, however, a dirth of enjoyable open world games recently.
The only thing that has even remotely turned me off of SR3 at all is the recent trailer that shows some gameplay in a "tron-like" world. That looked boring and awful. Everything else, however, looks like a blast.

Do you mean under the context of the player-character? Because SR3 unfortunately won't have any cockney voice-selections for whatever r-tarded and unjustifiable reason =/
While the first 2 Saints Row didn´t get my attention the new one looks craz... Batshit crazy! and it so ridicuolus that the only reason to play is just to see how can they amp that up so yeah pick up Saints Row.
If your buying for the PC you can get a Space Marine keys for about $25 and it activates through Steam. I always try to get CD keys for Steamworks games as they end up being at least half the price when compared to the Steam store.
