Ive never played the first one or even heard of the franchise? I decided to look through some info about the the sequal but all I could find is that its a stragety game, what kind of game, whats the main storyline, who are all these races, so on and so forth.
There's not much known at the moment, though you are in luck: there's an official tournament right now, hosted by Valve (the developer), with a million dollars in prizes. You can check it out here.
@JoeyRavn: What's to know? If you've watched the tournament, you know it's the same old DotA. Better looking, relieved of its reliance on another game and hopefully more polished and refined.
