What was your first video game?
- Unknown top down shooter (first PC game)
- Joe and Mac (first PC game)
- Metal Gear Solid (first console game)
you started at the ps1? no nes or snes?
OP I bet I know what your second game was : Joe & Mac Caveman Ninjas. It was also on SNES and arcades and other platforms. I rented it on SNES but I bought it on PC because it was cheaper. Came in a cool stone wheel shaped box (you needed the back for the copy protection)
My first game was either Donkey Kong or Pac Man in arcades, I can't remember which myself.

Pong. Also lots of Atari, Colecovision, and Commodore 64 games (California Games and Impossible Mission were my favorites). Also played ... [more]
I'm dated, too now.
Oh wow that's a tough one. While I cant remember exactly which one since it was a good while ago I do remember that one of them was The Ancient Art of War.
Probably Top Gun for NES (but I totally wasn't impressed), that was before I even had an NES, we had to rent one from the video store. I don't think they rent consoles anymore, ha. The first game that really got my attention was probably the first Megaman or Mario 3.
The first game I ever played I think was Doom on the PC. First console game was Super Mario 64 though.
Lode runner wins for first game addiction though... then maybe prince of persia, and wing commander... then all sierra's old adventure games (especially the early space quests!)
I remember that fateful day 21 years ago. I went to my big cousins house where he had this thing. He told me it was called a Nintendo. And he had this game for it. It was called Super Mario Bros.
I remember being totally baffled at the fact that I had to press A to jump rather than UP. I mean c'mon!!!?? You have 4 direction buttons and one of those buttons is the EXACT same direction I want to be going - Up. I was only 4 years old though.
I'm not too too sure exactly which, since I was like, three years old, but it was either an oldschool AD&D PC game or Commander Keen or something.
Even though I was born when the SNES was in it's prime, my parents only had a NES when I was very young, think Legend of Zelda was the first game I played, though it may have been Super Mario Brothers, I mean, I was like 1 year old.
I also have memories of erasing my mum's Ultima 3 data, because I don't think I could read yet and I kept chosing 'New Game' instead of 'Continue'
First game i ever played was when i was 3 years old; the legend of Zelda for the NES I don't remember.
the first game i owned was Sper Mario for the Game Boy...
It was one of three and I can't remember which.
- Home Alone (Genesis)
- Aladdin (Genesis)
- Sonic 2 (Genesis)
First game ever played was... I don't even remember, that's how long ago it was.
First game we owned was Air-Sea Battle I think. Either that or Combat. For the 2600!
I'm not positive, but I think it was either Super Mario Bros. or Duck Hunt on NES. Either that or maybe one of those random Sesame Street games they had on the NES.
Lol i started playing Pac-man for the ps1 but back than i had gotten the ps1 as a handme down from a family friend so never really had much games, until i bought the nintendo gamecube that is.
...oh, I'm going to be so laughed at for admitting thisOh boy. What...fun. [more]
Played: Think it was frogger, if not then it was Adventure. For Atari 2600
Owned: Either Alex Kidd, inbuilt on a Master System, or Link's Awakening for GB. Unsure as to what, I was very young.
