Ok so, imagine(painful I know) that one day, gaming would be completely erased. Every single game(PC,console, handheld whatever it is on),console, handheld basically everything related to videogames would be erased. So you can't play videogames. What would you do? Try to learn some new sport(not me probably lol) or something? Read a lot of books?(not me again).

I personally don't know what I would do but maybe I would get more into drawing as I like doing it and Im pretty good at drawing(manga characters). But I would probably do it in form of a freetime hobby, but I mean if Masashi Kishimoto(creator of Naruto) would somehow invite me and could teach me how to draw like he does I wouldnt think a sec and would leave right off to Japan! YEEEEA!

I would probably get back into tabletop wargaming. I mean I would like to anyway, but goddamn is it time intensive.

#3 Posted by Khann (2765 posts) -

I would dance.

DANCE.

Whatever activities mental hospitals allow these days.

Me too. I liked painting those figures.

I would probably use that as an excuse to get into books. There has got to be good ones, right?

Then I'll be completely focus on fitness. Though nowadays I've been losing my interest in gaming I don't know why, but its all about making dem gainz for me...

#9 Posted by bigjeffrey (4711 posts) -

I would become Patrick Bateman

#10 Posted by oraknabo (1453 posts) -

Board games / Tabletop RPG if I could find enough people to participate.

If not, I guess I'd spend my time reading, making art, woodworking, baking and maybe take up something new like beer brewing.

#11 Posted by Gamer_152 (14051 posts) -

It's hard to imagine having one go-to hobby, I think I'd just do a mix of the same stuff I do outside of games now. I'd read, write, play the piano, watch things, listen to music, etc.

@video_game_king: I was expecting him to say "ITS OVER 9000!!!!". Im dissapointed.

#14 Posted by FluxWaveZ (19305 posts) -

Some other isolated hobby that let me escape, so reading fiction or watching movies, I guess.

#15 Edited by ShaggE (6295 posts) -

I'd re-invent video games. That sweet, sweet Cathode Ray Tube Amusement Device money, muhfucka.

For some crazy as hell reason, you reminded me of this:

Anyway, I would just re-discover video games. Failing that, I'd invent a jetpack.

#17 Posted by Asberg (78 posts) -

I would turn to my other hobbies like music and art.

#18 Posted by CaLe (3897 posts) -

I would learn to do the splits.

Ghost Busting.

#21 Posted by Scroll (593 posts) -

I'd do more tabletop wargaming/ painting of miniatures and board game stuff. I don't actually play that many games these days anyway.

#22 Posted by FlipperDesert (2081 posts) -

Porn.

#23 Posted by Deadlydog (139 posts) -

Tabletop/Board games, Model making, Drawing, etc.

#24 Edited by fisk0 (3773 posts) -

Probably try to re-invent games. If games would be outlawed I'd probably join some underground game distribution network. But, sure, I would probably take more walks while listening to podcasts, and maybe have some time to get better at writing music.

#25 Posted by thebunnyhunter (1348 posts) -

I would probably fly model planes and launch model rockets...I really enjoyed doing that as a kid

#26 Posted by Canteu (2821 posts) -

Play actual games, like PnP, tabletops and board games.

It's the only sensible answer.

Or maybe just go on a murder rampage to pass the time, I dunno.

#27 Posted by D0tti (786 posts) -

Since I've already stopped playing games or at least I don't play them as much as I did. I would just resort to the same hobbies I have now, movies, music, fotball(soccer) and porn (yes that kinda is a hobby, lol).

Wait so would the Pokemon show and card game be erased? Would everything that ever got a video game (like superheros) also be erased? How does this happen? Aliens?!?!?

This. Although it does scare me of how much I feel I would get more done if I ceased doing all the stuff you listed and gaming too.
It's decided I guess... no more life for me!

"I Hope You Dance"

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder,
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger,
May you never take one single breath for granted,
GOD forbid love ever leave you empty handed,
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean,
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens,
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.

I hope you dance....I hope you dance.

Games that aren't video games and also aren't sports. Like poker and darts. I don't think I could force myself to be into more TV shows/movies.

Man, I posted that several posts ago.

#44 Posted by Sinusoidal (1262 posts) -

I've already got too many hobbies, the others would just fill in the space left over by video games' disappearance. It might even be good since video gaming is probably my least productive hobby.

#45 Posted by spiredcrescent (189 posts) -

I would be more into my martial arts and traveling.

#46 Posted by Stonyman65 (2570 posts) -

Porn and playing guitar. Maybe actually do something productive with my life, too.

No more games would really suck, but honestly it'd probably be a good thing lol.

#47 Posted by Belegorm (337 posts) -

Probably go back to being a bookworm like I was in junior high school, before I started gaming.

Then again I always toy with that idea, but finding books I'd want to read is a lot harder than finding games I want to play.

#48 Edited by Itwongo (1100 posts) -

Re-invent video games.

#49 Posted by RedLoopz (136 posts) -

@darthorange: oh, no sorry i didnt phrase it that good. i meant: all games, all consoles, all game developers would just find a diff job, and noone would know about videogames. but cards from pokemon and superheroes would exist. but pokemon videogames and superhero videogames wouldnt.
