Buy a Wii.
Okay, and play Endless Ocean: Blue World. I love that game.
WHats a good game that has no killing?
" Burnout Paradise Batman: Arkham Asylum (Batman NEVER kills anyone) "Arkham Asylum for sure. I got like halfway through it and randomly realized that you don't kill anybody at all, was kind of mindblowing.
have your G/F play bejeweled 2, but be forewarned most all females love that game and become crazy addicted, she might steal your game time haha, also Geometry Wars 2, I don't know if shooting shapes counts as killing, but there is no blood, just crazy hallucinogenic colors lol. Sims is another one most females tend to spend a lot of time with.
I'm also going to recommend the new Prince of Persia. You do fight a few bosses, and there are some occasional monsters you kill, but the focus is definitely on the platforming and occasion puzzle solving. Great game, by the way, and definitely accessible to someone who doesn't play that many games. The art style is fantastic. I really liked the game, and I'm sure both you and your girlfriend could enjoy it.
Just for the heck of it, I suggest Sid Meier's Pirates on Xbox. You can download it as an Xbox Original. Sure, there's battles and sword fights and all that, though it never really gets violent. I absolutely love the game. It's definitely family friendly, as much as something like Peter Pan anyway.
I think most of the posters have hit the nail on the head with the games they've listed.

" Portal.Uhhh... dude, Pikmin has a whole lot of killing. There's just no actual humans, but dudes are dying left and right in the game. It's basically like a garden war game, man. I'm still tormented by the cries of so many of my Pikmin drowning alive. Though I see now that many people have already brought this to your attention,, so I guess by now you got the point.
Pikman. "

" World of goo, sim tower (its an old game but still awesome), sim city 4, burnout paradise (do u really every see anyone die?), fifa 09 (potentially all sports games, i prefer football though) "
Good call. Sim Tower is awesome.
Yakuza games, Kiryu never kills anyone, he refuses to. Funny, considering how it's probably one of the more violent games i've played recently.
And there's nothing wrong with killing in games, violence is human nature, might as well celebrate it. Better than reproduction yeah?
" Peggle. I fucking love balls and Unicorns. And you know you do too. "How 'bout Unicorn balls?
Bejewelled is like Crack and has no kililng.
Sports games, racing games, Viva Pinata and music games are things that come to mind. When you kill someone or something, you automatically get a sense of accomplishment or dominance, which is what I think is the reason why games usually involve killing. In the other games this is achieved by being number one in the race, winning the match, hitting all the notes and breeding your Pinatas.
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 (remember when the series was good?)
And I don't recall any killing (violence, yes) in Simpsons Hit & Run.
The Sims, Pokemon, Batman: Arkaham Asylum (non-lethal combat), the Tropico games, Ignition (The only awesome car game out there :3), just about every single sports and car game ever made, guitar hero and all of his bastard sons, world of goo, tons of old arcade classics such as tetris and whatnot... and not to forget the Rollercoaster Tycoon and all the Tycoon games in general.
just go by esrb rating no violence
in reality though to sell her on the games you have to know the person and what they would like, and/or what they have tried and liked or not liked and work from that.
there are many good games that are not about violence and death, but most people in forums buy mature games and are generally all about the death and violence (outside the occasional racing and sports game)
the real question is it solo or coop / versus play your after / she's after
that should help you narrow down. I think throwing a bunch of gender stereotype games at her is a very bad call, show her a range and ask her questions about why and what that she has liked or not liked. genres is a good starting point.
oh and for the record dudes in batman do get registered as deceased... when you detective scan them, just not all of them.
" @Zenaxzd said:Lmfao good point." Ace Attorney series Pokemon Portal (as mentioned already) Katamari Music games "Tycoon" games, Roller Coaster/Prison etc. Puzzle games, Tetris, Bejeweled, Peggle, etc. Anything involving Rabbids. Racing games "Bro every Ace Attorney case starts with a murder. "
Eh ... why isn't your girlfriend playing The Sims? That has no killing and will change her point of view. The Sims is girlfriend crack. She'll be too busy playing it to even bother criticizing gaming.
" Eh ... why isn't your girlfriend playing The Sims? That has no killing and will change her point of view. The Sims is girlfriend crack. She'll be too busy playing it to even bother criticizing gaming. "This, gentlemen, this.
I like me some NBA 2K10. I don't play Madden so much but pretty much everyone else does. Also there's a QL up for this years baseball games. They look good.
" Basically any sports game Rhythm games Metal Gear Solid 2 onwards, if you do a no-kill run. "lol eh preferably not sports games...
I remember Herdy Gerdy had no killing. But, that game wasn't that good.
