Sup duder, im looking for a good post apocalyptic game, but one where civilization is still at war, so, more post apocalyptic in the vain of Metro 3033 then Fallout 3 if you get what i mean.
Thanks in advance.
Whats a good post-apocalyptic game? (For PS3)
ehh, played it, something less fallout-y hahaYou saying fallout isn't good brah? Is that what you're saying?
Theres nothing else out there like Metro on PS3.
You can name the post apocalyptic themed PS3 games on both hands. There's not really anything until Rage comes out
If you were to expand to PC, then Stalker, hands down. Some of the guys that made it went on to make Metro; both are based in post-apocalyptic Russia; both have messed up mutants along with regular humans to fight.
It's hard for me to classify Borderlands as post-apocalyptic since it's just so fantasy based. It's also hard for me to classify Fallout New Vegas, since it's so long after the apocalypse that they've already rebuilt huge chunks of society. Kind of . . . meh.
I'm also tired of every post apocalyptic game being crammed full of ridiculous monsters. Just because we nuked ourselves or something doesn't mean all the animals in the world are going to mutate into giant fucking flying dragons or roaches the size of a bus.
I do like the sort of retro/dystopian style of the world that was obliterated in Fallout, though.

It really isn't. Struggling to motivate myself to even leave the first town x.x Just helped that merchant dude. I guess I am still not over what Bethesda did to the franchise.
@jeust: I mostly agree, except for the part where you have to beat it four times to get all the pieces of the endings. I just Youtubed the damn things after my second or third, it was getting really tiresome.

Yeah, but you don't have to beat the whole game. It becomes very fast after the second playthrough.
@jeust: Comparatively fast: like three or four hours to beat it, but it's still the same stuff you were doing last time, only now the difficulty is trivial because you're over-leveled, and all for a paltry 10 extra seconds or less of ending. It's a shame because that final, final, final ending is pretty awesome wiping your save and allbut it just takes too much of doing the same damn thing over and over.
Oh, and fighting Kaine, that was pretty awesome too I guess.
Old as fuck, I know but

Disregard. I've noticed after posting that I've already drawn your attention to the fact that disliking Fallout in any shape or form is wrong. Guess my tastes and stupidity hasn't changed all that much in 1 year and 11 months.

Yeah, but you don't have to do all at once. I got to the first ending, and stopped. After a while I got to the second one, and stopped again. And so on. I took my sweet time with it.
