Mine had to, since i'm almost but still didn't finish Persona 3's main story, Resident Evil 2, lasted the most since it had two different playthroughs and KOTOR.
What about you?
What's the longest game you've played till the end?
I'd say probably The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion.
Played that on my laptop for a hell of a long time. Think i pretty much completed every quest almost, including the Shivering Isles.
I sank over 120 hours into my playthrough of Final Fantasy X. I may have played more of Morrowind, but without any kind of time counter, I have no way of knowing.
Longest in terms of storyline or game I spent the longest finishing? If you mean the former, I'm not sure. Could be a FF game, or it could be Dragon Age, I'm not sure. If the latter, I have a file in Oblivion that's clocked over 200 hours, where I've pretty much just finished Shivering Isles(I had finished all other questlines).
Tie Fighter Collector's CD-ROM (i.e. including Defenders of the Empire and Enemies of the Empire)
Considering that with all the expansion packs Tie Fighter had hundreds of missions, lasting somewhere between 30 and 90 minutes on average, you maybe begin to imagine how much time it took to complete. Now DOUBLE that time, since I played through all the campaigns twice.
Hundreds upon hundreds of hours.
230 for for FFX.
About to be eclipsed by Oblivion, Played it till I got the Megaton glitch that hits around 440 hours. Then I relaoded to a save I had earlier at about 370 hours. I'm making my way through that slowly (playing a quest, then reloading to do it as fast as possible so I don't hit 440 again)

im sure there were many with more hours years ago, but that i actually remember looking at the time...Dragon AGe with 50hours. Not counting World OF Warcraft of course
FF13 will probably beat that since im with 30 hours on chapter 10, so I didnt even get to the "open world" part yet

When you pass a certain time in the game, some animated textures start to freeze, I would've lived with that and continued the game, but then I read that a door that needs to open at the end of the game won't animate, rendering finishing the game impossible at that point. That glitch is unfixable in the 360 version.
" Guild Wars, 2200 hours and climbing. "The OP clearly specified "till the end." You can't play an MMO till the end.

Mine games are
FF7 Crisis Core about 70 hours for first play through (Ya I'm slow)
TES 4 Oblivion About 1000-1500 hours...And it's all thanks to Mods.
Fallout 3 150 hours and I still haven't beat it.
GTA4 over 100 hours still haven't beat it either.
The Sims 2 over 500 hours....Dose this count?
Well that's all I got.
I played WoW to almost "completion" during Burning Crusade. My main character has over 100 days logged in to him. Haven't played much in the last year and a half though. Anyways, other than that I've played ME2 to completion in 40 hours, Dragon Age in 33. I wasn't too big on RPGs until a couple years back, so I haven't played a ton before then.
Edit: Ocarina of Time took me awhile to finish, I think I was like 8 or 9 when I played it.
persona 4 150 hours probably because i left the game running and fell asleep alot. pokemon yellow i have i don't even know like last time i check i had like 400 hours on that shit. Man i used to love pokemon.
And yes you can finish an mmo but it is almost impossible.
Same. Nothing has ever come close to the 190 hours I put into P3. I've done over 100 hours on a lot of other games, and there are some unbeaten games that could potentially replace it should I finish them up, but as it stands today, the 190 for P3 ranks at my top. Now, WoW is far and above at the top of my "most hours spent playing" but that doesn't count because it's an MMO and unbeatable (in theory)." P3FES "
Didn't know there was a bug in Megaton in F3 as-well!
" Morrowind. Holy fucking balls. I have literally experienced every single thing in that game that came in the box. Amount of time? Christ, I don't know. If I were to guess... 150 hours? 200? A LONG TIME. "I was going to type something like this out, but you saved me the time.
Thank ye, thank ye!
The amount of life I've spent on Oblivion (and DLC). I had actually elected to not finish the main story line until all dungeons and side quests had been explored and looted. I believe my character is level 44 or 46 with 300+ hours easy. I will look for a clock on that game later to be sure myself!! I always think, hmm 156 hours in a week, I've spent two full weeks of my life on this game.... man I need a life.
Good question and posts. Any Final Fantasy game FF7 or greater for 2nd place in the hundreds of hours.
I would like to know how many total hours spent on all FF games....... second thought no I dont want know.
It depends on what you mean. The most time I've ever spent on a single game that I can recall would be... any one of the Pokemon games, clocking in at between 150 hours and 200+ hours per game set. Of course, that was long asfter what could be considered the "end" of the game (beating the elite 4).
Oblivion or Fallout 3 would easily be the next set of contenders, with my current save on Fallout 3 clocking at about 180 hours, and that's only one save (I've played through the whole game before that with a different character, pre-DLC). Oblivion is difficult to clock because I've had at least a dozen different characters in that game, most of which I started and got a couple hours in before putting the game away and losing the save files. Still, I've played through to the end with two characters, and have a current save file going where I've set out to explore every dungeon in the game.
To beat the campaign once?
Baldurs Gate 2 took me 200 hours to complete one single game.
They don't make WRPGs like that anymore
Persona 4 was 90-something hours.
I had more than 60 days /played on a single WoW character. I just checked my Xfire profile and I have 2664 hours in WoW. God damnit.
Uhh... I think I maxed out the clock on Final Fantasy 6.
128 hours of Oblivion, 166 hours of Garry's Mod. Those and the WoW hours are both based on Xfire statistics, and I haven't used Xfire for like a year. I stopped playing WoW though.
