I don't know, what do you like? I've never played Valkyria Chronicle, Borderlands is a sweet game, I don't recommend Dragon Age for console play, and Demon's Souls is an incredibly hard game to recommend.
I know this is a basic and common question but i wont disturb you anymore if you answer. I need a long game. A nice bang for the buck. A game that will be sort of like Fallout 3 was last year. Fun, Infinitly replayable, Nice to listen to music when grinding/exploring. Also i should add that the cheapest prices i found were Valkyria Chronicle for 30 bucks, The Borderlands for 50 bucks and Dragon Age for 60 Bucks. You can suggest any other game if you wish.
Also i should add: I have some dudes in my friends list but no mic and not a bad amount of time to play. Like about 3 hours a day off. And im reading A Song Of Ice and Fire right now so it will help set the Dragon Age mood.

I never played a Bioware game in my life except for bits and pieces of Mass Effect at a friends.
Then it is a good buy, but if you get it try finding the premium pack, as it 5$ expensier and it has all the dlc released till now. So you avoid the enerving npc selling the dlc in the game.
But that said there are probably better bioware games out there.

Any real control issues? I thought its unplayable in the non PC versions.
@NukeGoBoom: Fron what i've played the only difference from the pc is the fact that as it doesn't have any keyboard shortcuts, it uses a radial menu, like mass effect on the conversations, for selecting each action on a combat.
The PS3 version is considered better than the xbox360 also.
