We should fix that.

Right now, Gamespot and Gametrailers are up there, which is a disservice to the industry (community wise, and in Gamespot's case, journalistic wise).

What do you think?

While we're at it, lets see about getting a giantbomb theme for google at that. Put up once a year when the bomb exploded....Ok now despise my lack of seriouness...that does sound awesome ;P.

It's all to do with Search Engine Optimisation and PageRank. You're never going to beat GameStop and GameTrailers because they have millions of pages with millions of links coming in and are designed with SEO as their main hook to get traffic in.

I think I saw an interview with Whiskey Media where they said they did no SEO, and try to hook new visitors by building the community, providing good content and generating word of mouth.

You'll probably never see GiantBomb on the front-page of Google for the search term "video games".

First thing is to get Giant Bomb on the number one spot with google is "rapelay". Right now it is only on the 7th spot.

It depends on your location.
Both Rapelay and  naked cartoon pussy are 3rd for me.

It's number one for "Endurance Run".

Giant Bomb will never be the top result for something as broad as "video games". Never.

Do we want Giantbomb on the main page ? It means more traffic and we could find ourselves washed asunder by waves of idiotic spammers, drawn to the page simply because it was on the Google main page. I'm just saying, be careful what you wish for...

@Tennmuerti: google.co.uk - rapelay comes up with the Giant Bomb page first

Try naked cartoon pussy. It's because of the overwhelming amount of naked cartoon pussy we have here that video games return nothing. So yeah, trust me: Google naked cartoon pussy and we'll pop up. So much pussy here that is both naked and cartoon.

I think you have to put in "Fuckin' awesome" to get GiantBomb up.

#19 Posted by Willy105 (4690 posts) -

The heck.

I still feel 'videogames' is a better thing to know this website by rather than....that.
