When the game tells you to "press start" do you?

god damn metal gear games

Just wondering if other people do it to. Every time a ame tells me to press start I first press the A or X first and only then press the start if it doesn't work. 

I just do what the games tell me to do.

I press whatever is cloeset to my right thumb at that point and usually it works with X. A. B, Y, Start, X, Square, Circle, Triangle and Start 
 
So I pick C

I never press start. I hate that shit. Although, I always find it super weird that a game would explicitly instruct you to press a specific button and completely fall back on itself and let any button work.

X. Usually the closest button. Plus I do it out of curiosity with so many games asking you to press Start but having the X/A buttons work also, it's a goal of mine to find one that stands by its notice exclusivity :P

i usually press A or X what ever button it is. i just think it's easier that way. it's old to press start at the beginning of a game.

I wait for it to press start. So far, no game has disobeyed me.

I think I bought one of your old controllers once. It was laughing non stop screaming "it was smaller than my analog stick"  Was a little weird at the time but now I understand "

The first thing I do is shake my head and buckle in for a bad PC port, since there is no start button on a PC.

For most games, when it tells you to press start, that's the button you HAVE to press.

Yeah I usually do. Then again maybe I'm too subservient, I once saw a sign in a public toilet which said 'Wet Floor' so I did.

I think I go a bit back and forward. But I can't ever remember pressing something and nothing happening.
