I usually but games on Amazon or eBay if they're cheap. Recently, though, I've been using GameTZ for trading old games I don't want anymore. For the most part, it's proved a useful substitute for paying x amount of dollars for a game you can't afford. I've gotten some good trades off the site, as well. I just recently traded an old GBA SP for a copy of Alan Wake. My first trade was Tales of Vesperia for Twilight Princess for the Wii.
Where do most people buy their games?
Amazon, because I get free release-date or 48hr shipping and they're often a few dollars cheaper or even have big discount promotions for future games. For instance, $20 credit for buying Halo and a $10 credit for Kane & Lynch. Plus, I don't have to support shitty physical outlets, like Gamestop.
Amazon. There usually pretty cheap, and if they aren't then there's always the option to buy from a separate seller. They have also been really reliable for every purchase i've made there.
Amazon. Free shipping and I get games the day they come out. Pretty rad. My only gripe is when UPS decides to deliver on that day. On their morning run, or their evening run. My wait for Monster Hunter Tri was agonizing.
At least they got their priorities straight today with Reach!
At the Gamestop inside the mall. I've known the guys there for a while and they're pretty cool, unlike the stereotypical Gamestop employee.
Steam (and sometimes GoG.com) and various scandinavian online stores for the Wii games and odd PC titles that aren't on Steam. There are like five different big stores that I check and just go with whoever's the cheapest. I buy hard copies so rarely though that it barely counts.
Amazon and Wall*Mart. Then if they don't have it the Best Buy.
Big "ups" to Amazon and Best Buy. Not so much for WM.
Amazon and Steam. I did break my no-Gamestop rule recently, though, because I had some used games to trade in. But it was the first time I'd been there in almost two years. I honestly cannot remember the last time I went out and purchased a PC game in a physical store. Maybe back in '02 or '03.
Steam and Amazon, because I hate that drive when you've bought the game but you still have to wait to get home
I buy games from wherever I can find the best deals.
I picked up Halo: Reach from Toy R Us this morning because of the $25 gift card with purchase. Plus I had $35 store credit.
I bought Bioshock 2 from Gamefly for $15
Got Splinter Cell: Conviction from Best Buy for $20.
So I take it people here use Amazon. The last games I got from there that I can remember are Mass Effect 2 used (damn Cerberus code), Assassin's Creed 2, and Bayonetta. I also buy from GameStop if they have those "buy 2 get 1 free" deals." @Branthog said:

I just has an idea: what if Amazon put that type of deal into practice? Just allot a week per month to sell off some cheap games/appliances/etc. in order to get large sales during the week. They could even incorporate it into the Golden Box deals somehow.
