So, in the era of the internets do you still visit brick & mortar stores? Or do you shop through amazon and newegg? Perhaps somewhere else? Also to all non-us residents how often do you import, or do you just wait for your local releases? I ask because I find that I don't buy games in stores unless they are at a discount and get everything through amazon now because of small discounts + free shipping?
Where do you get your games?
I usually go to either EB games or a Best buy or something, if I want an import game, or older game that's not on shleves I'll buy it of the internet.
I usually buy my games from either JB Hi-Fi for the cheapest prices on games on release. But if it isnt significantly dearer I will go to GAME so I can get my loyalty card thing swiped with my purchase. If I am looking for something old or obscure my first stop is at Gametraders and they are also pretty good for the pre-owned games. I never shop at EB unless is during one of their 2 for 50 sales and you can usually pick up at least a couple of bargains then. Anything other time of the year they are a complete rip off. When I was younger I used to shop at department stores so I could lay buy but I never bother with that these days as the only department stores worth wasting your time on is K-Mart or Big W in the clearance section sometimes you might find something but they just dont carry good selections anymore.
As for importing, yeh I will import sometimes if I am after a game that gets refused classification in Australia or its some weird title thats not going to get released here and in the few instances that I do, I have always used Amazon or Play-Asia. Though I usually attempt to avoid it because the priority international shipping they charge you is a fucking rort.
I get most games through GameFly but when I want to purchase a game I normally go to the GameStop close by.
Mainly Amazon. With their super-saver free shipping, and the fact that I live in Seattle, I normally get it within a couple days that I order it.
If I ever go to brick and mortar store... it'll probably be Best Buy to buy something new. Occasionally i'll go into GameStop for an old used game, but not often.
I mostly use Billybargain to find the cheapest online store that sells the game I'm looking for. If I'm importing, I'll usually stick with Play-Asia.
Usually Wal-Mart but I'll go to the EB Games a couple of hours away from me whenever I get the chance.
PC - Steam, if it ain't on steam I don't buy it.
360 - Gameaccess - Online rental service like Gamefly for Canadians. I don't buy 360 games anymore.
GAME if i want a sealed new game, CEX if i want a scraped to shit old game, and the Interwebs if i want a decent old game.

My games always arrive within 10 days. I have no complaints. Otherwise I import from dvdboxoffice depeding on the Canadian doolar exchange and whicchever has the cheapest price.
Primarily Best Buy, Amazon, and ebay. I'll stop at a Gamestop to check out the used PS2 games (just bought Red Faction, Shinobi, and a new copy of Persona 3 FES there today)
"$3-4 hey. Last time I got something it wouldnt allow me to choose anything other then priorty international shipping and it cost me almost as much as the product I was buying. "No idea why? I see a number of options and the cheapest bubble wrap pack and post is the one I choose. I am ordering today for Tales of Hearts, so I may PM you about what happens (it has been a couple of months since I did it last).
"Sweet man thanks. Let me know. Because it was only the last time it done it to me so I thought it may have been some policy change in regards to international shipping or something. It has put me off keep going back to use the service lately. "Actually, I will do it here as I did a dummy run.

A box is $4.40.Anyway, it went straight through to the next stage without a hitch. I know this has happened in the past, as the $3.40 pice is on my invoice. Plus, it arrives through Australia Post. Are you stuck with the UPS, FedEx or Speedpost? I wouldn't import at $15-20 US shipping either.Try a dummy run yourself and try clicking on the Bubble icon and see what happens when you then move to the next page.Just before I got to confirmation, the post cost was actually $3."
