Where Sony fanboys this bad back in the PS2-Xbox-GC days?

I don't think I remember Sony fanboys being this bad back in the 6th gen, it seemed that role was the Nintendo fanboys who were just jealous. Were Sony fanboys as bad back then as they are now or am I missing something here?

No offense L4wz, but I don't think this thread is worthwhile. Any discussion of fanboyism in the tone you've presented only raises the ire of people who happen to like that particular something. I like this website because there is a universal appreciation for games, regardless of platform. Websites like IGN delight in inciting "fanboy fights" over the "system wars," but really it just makes their forums that much more unreadable and immature.
 
The PS3 had a real banner year for games, and I feel that I'm rightly jealous of those who own one.

All fanboys are as bad as each other. If anything 360 is the worst because theres more of them!
 
Either way if you haven't played the MGS4's, Uncharted 2's or the Mass Effect's and Halo's, due to being a fanboy. The only one missing out is yourself!
 
If someone can't afford both consoles then thats fair enough. But if were this late in the current gen and someone can't see all the awesome things happening on the opposing console, then that someone is essentially an idiot and thus fanboys are irrelevent.

Yeah, Sony fanboys are the worst of the worst. They are pathetic, and always play the victim. They think there is some big conspiracy against their platform. If they weren't attached to a piece of machinery, maybe they would have some logic, or some sense in them. I guess they get their arrogance from Sony.  PS3 fanboys are just angry that they payed $600 for a console that didn't even get good games until 2008-present day.
 
The only way to go is to own all consoles, and a PC. You can't call yourself a gamer if you just own one game console, and you definitely can't have a valid opinion since you would have a bias towards your platform.
