I think fable is a little easier to appreciate because of length, if you love a lot of side story i would go with oblivion, but as far as main story goes i like fable

I think both kinda sucked, that is, if you're talking about the main quest lines. Oblivion had the side quests that added smaller stories that really payed off at the end most of the time.

I can't vote since I haven't played Fable, but I was not a fan of Oblivion's story. A good portion of the main story was told by conversation with the NPC's. This would be fine, but  Jaufre and son-of-emporer-whose-name-I-can't-remember , who tell a lot of the story are acted horribly, and you have to stare at their creepy, dead faces to get the story from them. The story ofr Oblivion was fine, but it's delivery was just so poor.

Ewww god neither, neither. Jeesus. That's like asking who's prettier out of, well, your choice of two really ugly birds.

I'm gonna say Baldurs Gate just so I can leave the thread feeling clean.

Fable 2. I actually wanted to play the story so i could get revenge on that dude.

Oblivion the only reason i played the main story was to stop those damn gates from popping up.

When I
SPOILER
Got to the spire in the Fable2- I was amazed, great change of enviroment-
excelent look to the whole thing-
and a great way to make you care about that world.
Really nice.
END SPOILER
But Oblivion really was something awesome. Say what you want about it now,
but it's well executed- and really well done.
It's just a great game.
I'd pick Oblivion.
