With a new Cod out shortly and a new Bad Company coming out early 2010 I want to know which game giantbombers prefer!
Which series is better: Call of Duty or Battlefield
This is a hard decision. I would say that I have been more consistently entertained by the Call of Duty series, with the 1st, 2nd and 4th being some of the most memorable first person shooters I have ever played. That being said, I have spent a lot of time on Battlefield 1942 and 1943 over the years (and this summer). I will give it to Call of Duty overall but BF has my respect too.
And I thought you were CitizenKane for a second. Now I see where Mordukai is coming from...that is sort of annoying.

I doubt that.I've probably had mine longer "
Anyway, I vote Battlefield. I just feel you get a lot more 'awesome moments' on BF games.
EDIT: Godomnot, text won't not be bold.
Call of Duty, for me.
plus I've probably had mine longer "CitizenKane has been on the site since July of 2008. You signed up in August of this year. I think he's had it longer.
I love both...I like BF for the vehicular combat, but at the same time their infantry combat can be somewhat questionable. Call of Duty gets the infantry combat part right.

It's because we aren't seeing any of your smilies." @RHCPfan24 said:

Anyways, I think Battlefield is somewhat better, and more memorable.
Call of Duty. Although I enjoy the big battles of Battlefield, I love COD 2 and COD 4 are two of my favorite games of all time.
in terms of single player, Bad Company is my more preferred game. Multi player is 50/50.
i like to play COD with my friends only, and Battlefield with random players.
" @pause422 said:Have you seen COD 4 for the Wii? It looks like a DREAMCAST game..." Dumb question to me honesty: You have great Call of Duty games, and great BF games..and terrible ones as well from both series. "But the terrible CoD games aren't quite as terrible as the terrible BF games. "
Haha, I can rest assure you have NOT had that avatar for longer than CitizenKane." @RHCPfan24 said:

Change it....
Also, I prefer COD when it's made by Infinity Ward. If made by Treyarch, I prefer Battlefield.

As for me, i choose COD cuz the whole series 'cept for part 3 has been one of my greatest and most memorable FPS experiences, and the only battlefield i play is BF2 so..
During the Call of Duty, Call of Duty: United Offensive, and Call of Duty 2 era: Call of Duty was better
From the Call of Duty 3, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 era: Battlefield is better.
Call Of Duty, I swear to god it is the most overrated game in history, I really really can't see whats so special about it, it's a fast paced arcade shooter with a big gun selection, I don't understand.
Huh, Mordukai's topic suddenly makes sense. I thought you were Citizen Kane for a second there!
On topic though, I think the Battlefield series (namely Battlefields 2, 1943, and Bad Company) have really pushed it up next to Call of Duty. But they are still two different games. Call of Duty has some pretty amazing single player stuff to go along with its multiplayer. Bad Company is a strange direction to take the Battlefield franchise but it's not a bad game. Sure, the campaign really only had its comedy going for it (in my opinion) but it's multiplayer was still quite good. I believe that the Battlefield franchise has the potential to pull ahead though.
They're both way different, it's hard to compare them. Call of Duty has more action overall, but Battlefield has huge maps and it takes some teamwork to get things done. It's more complicated, but once you figure everything out it's loads of fun. Overall I'd say Battlefield, but I like them both a lot.
