If you can't beat them... Join them I suppose... Should I get Halo 3 or COD4? I pretty much HAVE to buy one of them, my friends keep pressuring me and I just want to get it over with. -_-
That's a hard choice. Both are great games. Basically do you want a realistic modern day shooter or a sci fi one? Whatever your answer is to that go with it.

In my opinion COD is a better experience start to finish but Halo is less forgiving so you're more likely to play it on the harder difficulties, plus there is co-op in halo. Call of Duty's multiplayer has a shorter barrier of entry also, you start with powerful weapons and upgrading is pretty easy where as Halo is just search for weapons.

Hell, it's kinda realistic. Still more realistic than giant space rings that somehow kill things and supersoldiers who can't be bothered to carry three weapons.
If you've never played Halo or care for the story I'd say Call of Duty purely for the single player, I'd hate to get into multiplayer now. At this point mostly crazies who've played the game for the past year and a half and know every little nuance populate both games.
