I think both games so far look great. Treyarch has obviously taken the lead on Call of Duty development. I loved Black Ops but at the same time I feel like it will be more of the same. I will not get trapped in the Elite subscription this time around if I do decide to purchase Black Ops II. Halo 4 could end up being the best Halo game to date. I love the single player story but the multiplayer in past games haven’t held my attention as long as COD games have. I am currently not sure if I will purchase either. What are your thoughts on both games?
Neither. I've never 'gotten it' when it comes to Halo, so I have no interest in that. The CoD series has been going downhill for quite a while for me now, and back when I did enjoy it, I always preferred the Infinity Ward games over the Treyarch games. So no real interest for me there either.
I haven't bought a Call of Duty game since Modern Warfare 2. The series took a Michael Bay turn that I just can't truck with, and I couldn't be less interested in it's multiplayer.
I'm not exactly thrilled with the Halo series either right now, but I'm at least curious to see what direction the game will be taking. So for my money, Halo 4 is the better bet.
Im saving my money for Viva Pinata 3.
Don't play with my heart like that!
It's Halo 4 for me. I was hot on Reach for awhile, but not nearly as long as Halo 3. Hopefully a new developer will give this franchise the kick in the pants it needs. I'm also in need of a new co-op game so perhaps this will scratch that itch. Well, either this or Borderlands 2, we shall see!
Halo 4 easy.
I do enjoy the CoD games but since I only play the singleplayer component and I wait for them to drop in price (I haven't even play the first Black Ops cause I'm waiting for it to drop to $20 or less) I'm gonna go for H4 cause usually (ODST aside) the singleplayer campaign is worth the full price of admission unlike the 5 hrs of a CoD game.
Halo is a relic from the previous gen, ive enjoyed the series then but today the series is several steps behind. Add in that Bungie isent making it and you can be sure the game wont live up to the standard of a mainline Halo game.
Look at what happened to Silent Hill after it lost its original team, became a mess.
Blops is at least Treyarch's own baby, in that it is different enough from MW series to call it their own. Blops is still the best CoD out there in terms of balance and multiplayer action.
After I finished the fight in Halo 3, I haven't had any interest in playing any Halo games. Nothing wrong with Halo 3 (I liked it a lot, actually), I just feel done with the series.
Blops II, on the other hand, well, I'm totally interested in that. Blops had a surprisingly good story, so I'm hoping the sequel has a good story too.
I'm rather bored of call of duty at this point, and I don't see this one rekindling anything in me. Halo 4 however seems fun and it has been a while since I've done anything more than campaign in a Halo game and with 4 I might start playing multiplayer again.
