Who is your favorite personality at GB and why?

Im bored at work and I was just watching some old videos with Jeff and Vinny. I decided that I relate the most to them, but wanted to know what you guys thought? I mean, that's what Jeff has said a bunch of times. They give us who they really are so we can kinda gage who we are more like, thus taking video game recomendations from personalities closest to our very own.

For me it's Vinny and Jeff. Vinny because he details exactly what it is that he loves or hates about something right then and there. He seems easy going and gives every game a chance. I like that.

And Jeff because he is most in tune with the audience. He live streams from his car, his bedroom, and just because! I respect that. He also has a very deep passion for his work, and that's something I can really get behind.

Why not others?

Ryan is a bit too cocky for my tastes. Not saying he is a bad duder or nothin, just not a guy I relate too.

Patrick has a soft spot for indie games, and that's great...but every single indie game is NOT an indie darling! It's just a bit annoying at times to hear him artistically tell us how grand of a concept every single one is. Blechk, lol.

I would like to see more Dave, and that's my reason right there for not relating. I would like to see more of him on the site, but I KNOW the guy is busy. He's a hard worker!!!

Drew is great, but doesn't express much when playing a game. Still, always great to have a quicklook with him, Vinny, and Dave!

EDIT: It was pointed out to me that I forgot Brad...oops, but that kinda speeks for itself. He has been better this year, but in years past, he doesn't talk much on the podcast, and kinda just blends in. Sorry Brad.

It's Vinny, always has been in these "polls/questions", always will be. Why? For me, it's he's the most open minded guy along with Drew, rarely takes and dump on a game and tries to give it its dues, no matter how insignificant the good stuff is, he always finds it. I like that, compared to the other guys, who generally seem to hate everything, which can be funny at times.

Vinny, if you don't agree then fuck you.

Definitely Vinny for me, as his style of humor seems pretty genuine and he likes similar types of games as me. Jeff is a close second because he has more of a comedian type of humor and he always seems to know his shit. The other guys are great, too.

Jeff. Because...fuck Nights into Dreams. Also, I pretty much agree with his opinions on games most of the time.

I like them all and all of them could be "my favorite" for different reasons. But I think I can relate the most to Brad. He's a cool duder.

They are all great in their own special way.

Dave, because he isn't on too many videos so it's more special when he's on one. Also he is hilarious and knows a ton about video games - really dropped some knowledge during the end of Star Wars Galaxies thing - and likes different games than the ones the other guys like (i.e. PC games, RPGs, strategy games etc). He's really good at explaining games, especially old ones that have crazy systems. Him and Brad are the two GB guys who I feel like I'd like to just hang out with the most.

One thing I really like about Jeff is that he seems like he has figured out how to frame his opinions in a really enjoyable way. He hates a lot of things. Normally that kind of personality turns me off. But not so much for Jeff. He knows it's his opinion. Almost jokingly so (Like anytime he brings up Red Dead Redemption or Metal Gear Solid).

Now with Patrick and Brad... I get the feeling that they feel like opinion is the end all qualifier for what's good and what's bad. I'm sure if you asked them, they don't feel that their opinion is all important. It's more just the way it comes off. Like when "It's terrible! Terrible!" I like all the guys a lot. I just respond better to Jeff I guess.

And Vinny is the best.

Pretty close between Vinny, Brad, Dave, and Drew. Vinny's just an all around funny guy and he really seems to enjoy things. Brad's taste in games has proven to be pretty close to mine so I enjoy hearing his opinions more often than not. Dave and Drew are just all around cool dudes.

Jeff. I disagree with him a lot but I can't think of many people I'd watch for an hour talk and drink out of a jar.

Ryan is my favorite sweaty orchestrator of pandemonium.

Vinny. The answer is ALWAYS Vinny.

I also really like Patrick because of his attention to indie games and I love me some indie games. Not too big on his writing, though.

This stuff is generally always a forgone conclusion but, you know, the OP did ask for reasons why and I'm not seeing a lot. I mean, sure, Vinny is a very likeable guy but the cult of personality he's amassed is a little weird. Same with Drew.

Anyway, my answer is Jeff. I think the dude is hilarious even if I don't understand half of his references. It's abundantly clear that he loves games even though he appears jaded at times and I think that's cool. I respect that he knows very well what he likes and doesn't like and states those opinions. I also like that that seems to annoy a lot of you idiots.

Vinny. At this point, aside from Jeff, I have to actively try to enjoy anything with the other guys in it because they spend so much time being jaded and idiotic. At least when Jeff and Vinny do dumb stuff they seem to be having fun.

Brad and Vinny. I tend to agree with Brad whenever a disagreement comes up about some hot button issue, and share their tastes in games. Everyone loves Vinny, and so we all know why we love him. "Dig Dug is great."

I loved the Dragonborn Quick Look as a result. They were both at the top of their game, in more ways than one, in my opinion.

I also really love Dave, but he's just not around enough. Especially lately :(

Also, I've never really seen much cockiness out of Ryan. Faux cockiness maybe.

The only person I would ever complain about generally is Patrick. I generally really like him, but sometimes he makes really fucking stupid arguments for questionable reasons.

Vinny of course. The dude is just relaxed and easy going. Dave is like that too. Ryan is starting to get there. The rest of them, even Jeff, are starting to get a little up tight and taking themselves too seriously.

You know, it must be kind of disheartening for Patrick to see some of the post in threads like these. No, he hasn't found his footing quite yet, yes, I disagree with most of his opinions about the quality of certain games, and, sure, he sometimes puts his foot in his mouth. But he's a nice guy, his weekend wrap-ups are always fascinating, and he's getting there slowly but surely. You don't have to lie and say you love the guy, but is "not Patrick" thoughtful or mature? He is a fellow person who feels the same things you do when someone says, "Whoever's my favorite, it's sure not you!"

They're all great...but Vinny is the greatest because he's Vinny.

I honestly could not choose. In fact, I wrote an essay for university that prompted me to write about the most influential people on my life and I wrote of them all. They each hold unique personality traits that I identify and enjoy separately and to choose one would short change the rest of them.

I couldn't choose either. Whenever somebody is missing on the bombcast I whish I could hear the opinion of that person to the topics discussed.

I will say that I think Patrick puts the most effort into the job (aside from the video/design guys who kind of HAVE to in order to keep things running).
