I have not rented a game since my childhood, since I was nine or ten years old.
Who rents their games?
I rented FFXIII as my last game, ended up buying and and paying more. The problem with some rentals is you still want the damn game after a week.
I rent, because my local library gets games and lets you rent them for free. The selection isn't as good as a paying rental service, and they usually only have 1 copy of each game, but i've gotten both Gears, Heavy Rain, MGS4, Littlebigplanet, ODST, Killzone 2, etc., and all for free.
i still pay for the games I really want, though.
I WOULD like to rent since there are games out there that I want to rent to test it out to see if I like it or not. But however, renting mean I have spend some time so that I don't end up rending one game for more than a month which is pretty equivalent to actually buying one. Honestly that really doesn't work with my gaming habit
" I rent my games off a service called LoveFilm. It's great because its £15 a month for as many rentals as you want but you can only have 2 disks of a time. The only downside to the service is that it takes a while for games to be sent back to them and its very hard to get games whenever they come out. Sometimes I just wish I had enough money to buy games because it sucks not getting games when they are just released such as Red Dead Revolver so I can join in on the multiplayer with my mates, etc. DAMN YOU COLLEGE EXPENSES! "Man, you must be REALLY poor if you cant afford Red Dead Revolver.
Most of the time, I rent my games because I can finish them in the week I've rented them for. I only buy games that I know I'll spend tons of time in the multiplayer aspects (Street Fighter IV, Modern Warfare 2...) or games that I know are really long and that I want to play (Oblivion, Final Fantasy XIII...).
