Make a bid today!  Yes, Hardcore Gamer is for sale.  Yeah, never really knew about this publication, but the bidding starts at $42,000.  If you've got 42 grand to spare, maybe buying a magazine of your own would tickle your fancy.  On the other hand, the printed word isn't exactly doing that great nowadays... EGM comes to mind.

I might make a bid, but I never was any good at Gaming Magazine Tycoon.

Hardcore gamers had their own magazine?

Good luck to anyone who buys into it though.

Wow, I didn't realize it was the WHOLE MAGAZINE PUBLICATION. That is probably a decent price if you can invest smartly and get a good revenue and user base out of it, but who honestly reads Hardcore Magazine anyway?

As long as mags are around, I'll still be reading them.

Plenty of hardcore gamers enjoy or have enjoyed Mario games.  Besides, it's a monthly mag.  Sooner or later the biggest names in gaming need to show up on the front cover. It would be a failure not to include him.  I'm certainly not Nintendo's biggest fan at the moment, but I remember a certain mustachioed  plumber playing a part in saving the nearly collapsed video game industry from extinction.

Is anyone really willing to take the risk? Video game magazines are now effectively dead.

Well, at least it isn't Play. I hate the magazine so much for some reason.

My Nintendo Power isn't working for me anymore, I still order and read it, but they don't really give me much I didn't already know because of the internet.

Gaming magazines are dying out, so I wouldn't make a bid even if I had the money for it.
