Who's getting a DSi? - General Discussion

Was wondering is any of you guys were planning on buying a DSi. Also, is any DSi Ware planned to launch with the system?

I'm considering it. I hardly used my DS lite before it broke, but for some reason I want a DSi. I dunno. Someone talk me out of it.

Getting it on launch, as well as Pokemon Platinum.

I have no real interest in one. I'm happy with my DS Light, and many of the cool features like the downloadable games or apps wouldn't be an option for me, since my DS Light can't connect to my househould wireless network for some reason.

There is no gba slot and the camera is a pathetic 0.3 megapixels.

Not me. It sounds cool, and I'd like to have one even, but I see no games that I am interested in.

There's two cameras. The one facing you is 0.3 megapixels (Though it's for closeups) but the other one is 3.0 megapixels (So basically a camera phone camera).

I'm really considering getting one. I have a launch silver DS and it works well enough but my left trigger's possibly broken; it sticks and I have to press really hard to get it to work.

I have a pre-order in... but I can't decide if I want to pull it or not. I might just wait for a better color/more dsi-ware to get me interested.

Yeah I will, I still have my DS fat and the screen is a little messed up, so I am getting it for sure.

You might be using WPA for your wireless protection. The DSLite can only connect to the less secure WEP encryption but the DSi is capable of connecting to WPA networks. Just something to think about.

I'll get one eventually. I was out of work sick this week so I'm not going to have enough money. I remember seeing a deal for trading in your DS Lite for a DSi for 100 bucks but I think it was one day only. Oh well, I'll get one eventually.

I might invest in a DSi, I always said I wouldn't upgrade to the DS Lite but I did. Slightly bigger screens and louder speakers are the only new additions that intrest me. Oh and the redesigned leds. The lights on Lite distract me while playing Mario Kart over wi-fi, ain't a huge difference thou.

I still have my phat DS which is in fine condition. Some of the DSi's features are cool but I still don't feel the need to upgrade.

I haven't owned a handheld since the original Game Boy Advanced, and I haven't had any intention of changing that. B-but...the DSi looks pretty damn badass.

I don't actually own a DS yet, and between the DSi and the DS lite, I would rather get the lite simply due to the GBA slot, as I never owned a GBA either.

I have no plans to pick up a DSi since I am very happy with my DS Lite, however, should Nintendo decide to release DSi only games that I find very interesting, I may have to take the plunge. Basically, what I am saying is if Dragon Quest IX is DSi only then I'd get one. Now, that would be such a stupid thing to do, both for here and in Japan, but sometimes publishers do dumb things.
