The gangsta image is a racist contrivance cooked up by white people to keep blacks down. I am one of the most conservative non-dumbasses on this forum, but even I can see that it's just a ploy to maintain white supremacy. So I think 50 Cent would actually agree with the OP unless he's not smart enough to realize it.
Racism isn't racism unless it's done with the attitude of one race being superior to the other. The disproportionate number of white protagonists isn't racism, it's just a thing that happened, so you can hush until you know what you're talking about.

That doesn't mean they're racist.  The reason most main characters are white males is because those are the people that are making the games.  I guess they feel like most people will be able to relate to white characters.  That doesn't mean that I wouldn't like to see more leads of other races though.

White people are pretty boring as protagonists.

Let's not forget Barret from Final Fantasy VII and pretty much every black person from the GTA series, who only serve to reinforce every black stereotype. You can't honestly tell me the lead characters in a game named after a felony are role models for people to aspire to.

You're right. Developers are totally racist and never let you play as black people in video games.
