Why do Giant Bomb videos load so slowly???

hey, i was just wondering if anyone could help me......i have a nice fast computer, and usualy never have any trouble watching videos etc... but for some reason giant bomb videos load way slower then anything else i watch (youtube and stuff) even on the low setting. does any1 know what i can do to speed this up? or does it happen for every1?

I don't really think your computer has much to do with it. It's all bandwidth and distance from the server. They load just fine for me.

It has nothing at all to do with the quality of your PC but instead the quality of your connection. Clearly it's not as good as you may of thought. The videos run fine and almost instantaneously with no buffering for me.


There may be video accelerators that could help with Giant Bomb videos (??)

Currently we use Amazon S3 to host our video/images. Those servers are based out of Seattle so distance can be a part of it. We're looking to move onto their edge network, which distributes media across multiple locations.

I'm in norway and they load really fast for me...

I'm in England, and while I don't have a problem with buffering, I have a real problem with the video's framerate dropping after a while

giant bomb's videos stream perfect
