Why Do You Watch Quick Looks?

I like to see game on platforms I don't posess. I'm a PC only gamer, so it's interesting to see what's big on other hardware.

I also like how these ql's are pretty long, so you can have a meal and kill some time, but it's not hours like a movie. They are good entertainment. The only guy that annoys me is that curly hairedknow-it-all with the body like a toothpick. In fact, I think they should start to distribute weight more evenly among the Giantbomb team, or else, how are they gonna use the seesaws on the playground outside ;) ?

It's the only way I can get off.

Mostly for the entertainment value and staff personalities. If they happen to cover a game I'm interested in, I'll watch it for that reason, as well.

For the Lols.

Gosh, depends on which game they are QL'ing. Most of the time it's for the personality but also because there could very well be a chance that there is a diamond in the rough that I might want to get.

Both. Though I've started skipping or not watching all of a quick look if the game is boring or the conversation isn't up to much either. This seems to happen most with Brad & Patrick QL's.

The margin of personality vs. review is amazing.

Quick looks / reviews only seem really relevant when it is a new developer or genre you've never really tried before. So I end up getting a both factor when a more obscure game is picked (especially something that is really old), which is why I'm hoping for more coverage of virtual console stuff when after Wii U is released.

Honestly, in recent times I've been watching Game Informer's Test Chambers for info and more of a prepared demo. Plus they're much shorter. Then I usually just listen to Quick Looks during my drive home. It works.

Mainly just for a peak of a game i'm interested in, to see if it doesn't suck before i buy it but i end up watching all the quick looks anyway because they're usually pretty hilarious.

I watch quick looks for the personality. It has been heavily toned down every since they've expanded and have been getting bigger with funding from entities like CBS.

I never bought that whole line they gave about the fact that they aren't changing when they got bought by CBS, because seriously... in reality, if somebody just bought your ass, they own you now, and if you dont do what they say your ass is out on the street.

They've honestly been lackluster in quite a few areas like membership subscriptions and producing content for members. Quick looks have also taken a more serious tone. So, I dunno, whatever but things have changed and not in a good way.
